With the start of free agency only hours away, what is going to happen this year?

Last year lakers fans were assaulted with news of mozgov for big money and max years. Everyone knew it was doomed from the start! Although a few people said, "hey, let's give Luke a chance"


What kind of horrors await us this first week of July?

Will the lakers snag a star?
A role player?
A former high lotto pick?
Another deng/mozgov?


What's next!!!

They pretty much said they won't be doing anything this year. I can see a 1+1 deal for someone like Tony Allen but that's about it.

I hope and think it will be 1-year roll players. If a trade gets worked out for PG, then that will happen. If we can offload Deng or Clarkson, that will happen.

Ireland brought up a good point today: We're already have like 14 people on our roster, with all the new draftees. Yes some can be waived and what-not....but point is, we don't have tons of spots to fill. Not unless a legit star wants to come.

Selling cap for a first in 2018 would really open up several possibilities in terms of making other moves to create additional cap.

They said their FA focus was 3 point shooting and defense.

Igoudala on a one year deal that is for a ton of money.

Personally i would like to see us making a bunch of small signings like McLemore to fill out the holes in our roster and try to at least be competitive (by competitive i mean somewhere between 7-9th seed) without compromising our cap space.

Ideally we should try to get to around 38-42 wins this season, especially since this core is a year older and we have a 20PPG center now.

I hope we do not resign Ennis, Lonzo needs a veteran tought backup, like Collison.
