Is it just me, or does this seem like good news for us? Cleveland and Boston would have been dangerous options. But I don't see any way on earth he signs long term with them.

It's not Boston. That's all I care about. They continue to be so **** pathetic and I love it.

Can't convince me that Clarkson and Zubac wouldn't have been a better haul IF it was on the table...

Oh well, the two biggest fishes in the pond will have a year of being together before we get them!

Pacers could have Russell and Nance/Randle and they blew it. And **** Ainge. Any franchises that lust for that Lakers pick always get some sort of curse

Pritchard screwed himself. Could have had 2 firsts and a good young player from the Lakers. Now has retreads and no picks. hahahaha. knew that BOS stuff was BS. IND fans have to be pissed. No way PG extends in OKC. this is fantastic news. We keep all of our picks and get George. Nice job Pritchard!!

They got a one-year tryout with an All-Star for a major disappointment (Oladipo) and borderline prospect (Sabonis). Why not?

It's worth a shot if your OKC... just find a taker for Kanter to free up cap space and sign one of the top PFs...

If they make a serious run at a title this year, everybody would think twice about leaving...

Can OKC sign Blake Griffin?

I am convinced that they didn't want to trade him to LA out of spite. There is no way in hell I see PG staying in OKC after next season. This played out perfectly for the Lakers. **** BOSTON

What do they lose by trying? They didn't give up anything. Heck if they lose both Westbrook and George then they're better off since they don't have Odalipo on the books. A true win win

I still don't see them being any better than 4th in the West. If their intent is to just attract enough people to sell tickets then its fine. But this doesn't make them contenders either.

Also I don't think it's fair to frame it that way. I could frame it like this. They traded a young high athletic player with upside and another 2nd year player coming off an ok year for a guy who will bolt the next year anyway.

Either way I wouldn't have made the trade.

D'lo, Deng/Moz, and 28th is way better than what Pacers got. Have you seen Oladipo's contract? lol. Magic and Rob had to have offered that to the Pacers, but i'm thinking KP didn't want George to get what he wanted. He needs to be fired for putting his emotions before the team.

I mean, of course it doesn't make them a contender. They're in the West. They'd need a third All-Star and some depth to contend. But they gave up pretty much nothing (Oladipo hasn't improved one bit in four years, and Sabonis had a terrible rookie year) for a chance to maybe land an All-Star long term to a team that just won 47 games. It's a long shot, but that's pretty much a no-brainer.

The real question is, how bad does it suck to be the Pacers tonight? That's just a crappy, crappy position to be in.
