Never visited here-I come in peace

I really think the Lakers could draw LBJ and PG13 next year-it would make a lot of sense. But, Lakers need to clear $ to make it happen

Does this trade make sense?
Wade for Deng/Kumaz (I know nothing about him) and a 2021 Laker pick, unprotected?

For the Lakers, Wade is a name player who MIGHT sell a few tickets this year. Much bigger would be his friendship with LBJ-I think he would sign super cheap next year, to bring in his buddy and PG 13.

Next, Lakers would have to move Clarkson-should be possible as a neutral asset. I think the Knicks might take him for free.

Lakers this year end up with
Ball
Wade
Ingrim
Randle
zubic

A bad team, but lots of development time for the young kids. I think George and LBJ would join that team, and then you have a contender, If Ball can play and Ingrim continues to develop?

As for my Bulls, we are on full tank, so Deng comes in as our vet leader. We move RLopez (would the Lakers want him too?) and we add assets to build with.

So, am I far off? Thanks for your attention

There's no way the lakers gonna trade a young piece and a unprotected pick for wades corpse

I've been preaching this trade from day 1.

Wade for Deng/Clarkson (You can also have Randle and an unprotected first if that would seal the deal).

We are not trading for Wade's corpes. We are trading for Wade's expiring contract.

Why not Deng for Wade straight up?
Maybe add Kuzma / Bryant for RoLo just to make it fun so that the Lopez twins could play together.
And you said you are on full tank mode right now, I think Deng will be a great commander. :D

Unprotected pick is a bit much. Add top 10 protections and you have a deal.

JC & Deng
Hart & Deng
Kuzma & Deng
Bryant & Deng

Any single one of those for Wade is a great deal for the Lakers.
Adding two of the above makes it an ok trade for the Lakers I guess.
Adding one of the above and a draft pick (especially an unprotected one) is a no deal.

I highly doubt that even GarPax would make that deal without a draft pick involved.

I thought I saw something about Magic offering future picks to take Moz/Deng?

I would assume Magic thinks the Lakers will be contending, so a 2021 pick is not a huge concern.

I really like Randle, but we just drafted a PF, and I think Randle works as a 6th man for you next year-even some small ball center?

Is this Kumaz guy any good? I just put him in since the Bulls have NOTHING at SF next year-Deng, Zipser and him can eat the minutes, and fans would love to have Deng back

Lakers do this in a heart beat... Got to protect the pick a bit though... But Lakers would do anything to get out of dengs contract that doesn't involve losing ball or ingram

With that said.. there's no way Chi would..or should... Dengs contract is bad.. like top four worst contracts in NBA bad... Along with Noah Parsons and Moz.. word around LA sports radio is that if Magic/Pelinka are able to get out of BOTH Deng and Moz contract (w/o giving up Ball or Ingram) they should be executive of the year.. that's how had those contracts are.. wishful thinking but no way that happens

Randle and Deng with no pick makes more fiscal sense. I think it's a huge risk to re-sign Randle and since he expires next offseason we may not re-sign him at all if we are trying to sign all of these Stars.... the stars won't come without some other vets so Randle would seem the logical choice to dump in a Deng dung dump.

Still need to see what my late round 1st picks can do before I add them into any trade scenario. Kuzma is a very intriging piece. He fits the role of a modern stretch 3/4.

I honestly would keep Deng for the season and try to move him next offseason. Deng is younger than Wade, while yes Wade is an expiring, I could see us get something of value if Deng redeems himself this season. Plus keeping Deng knocks one more year off his contract thus making it easier to move him without possibly including Clarkson.

I don't want a 33 year old LBJ in a Lakers uniform anyway. Not even remotely interested in that possbility.

I thought about making it Deng/Randle for Wade, but with drafting a 4, and having Portis,-just doesn't make sense for us.

Deng's deal doesn't hurt the bulls, and we REALLY need someone to play SF minutes for us-even if we are tanking.

The best I would do is 1 year of top 3 protection-but I really would be against any-it's the cost of taking on such a bad deal

Exactly right - no youngun's bar Clarkson, no picks. Can't afford it - better to stretch or waive him and eat our mistake

How many players in the league are better than a 33 year old LBJ?

What would GS do with Boogie in the wcf, play zaza/mcgee the whole game?

Ball (30) Ring Chaser (18)
Hart (24) Ingram (12) Nwaba (12)
Lebron (30) Ingram (18)
Nance (18) Randle (30)
Boogie (30) Zubac (18) Bryant

You are asking for too much, maybe we would do the trade without the future 1st round pick. We probably would offer Deng and clarkson or Deng and Randle for Wade. Because we know you guys are going a different direction and wanna cut Wade, no way we would offer a future 1st plus a rookie that Magic said he really liked for someone we don't need.

I'd love to have wade for deng and some other items sure. Let's do this. Op you have the contracts to write up? I'll sign them.
