Lakers release official Las Vegas Summer League Roster; Brandon Ingram and Lonzo Ball lead the way

The Los Angeles Lakers are filled to the brim with young talent following the 2017 NBA Draft, heading into Las Vegas Summer League with a stacked group.

The Lakers officially released their summer league roster, headlined by No. 2 picks Lonzo Ball and Brandon Ingram. They’ll be flanked by the Lakers’ other trio of rookies including Thomas Bryant, Josh Hart and Kyle Kuzma.

Ivica Zubac, David Nwaba, Travis Wear and Vander Blue will also be making the trip to Las Vegas, giving the rookies some additional “experienced” players for the annual hoops summit in the desert.

Five more days. I actually have Zubac as our best player for this summer league.

I really feel Lonzo's style of play will translate to a different culture on the court with unselfish team oriented ball movement , and we'll see this starting at the summer league.

There will be some evident positive buzz around the Lakers this season.

Wow. I do hope we play to win rather than test to see what works. Are they already practicing for summer league?

Tatum looked good!! He (and DSJ) were the ones that I really wanted the Lakers to look hard at...

As for Fultz, he played well. A little bit like Dlo but with quicker step, slower release, but more aggressive to basketball.

With the talent around him, I'm expecting a much better Summer League performance from Ball than we saw from DLo a couple years back, when he struggled in his NBA debut.

I'd really like to see Ingram and Zubac dominate the league this summer and the Lakers win it.

Very interested in seeing Kuzma, Hart, and Bryant, too.

They have the same playing style, but Fultz is way better around the rim, he's got a nice soft touch(pause). His release on his shot is slow as hell tho. Also not as athletic as people made him out to be. But you can tell he has some serious talent.

I know people want to see us win or go deep in the summer league tournament, but I personally don't. I feel like the deeper those tournaments go, you get scrubs trying to get roster spots playing too hard and reckless and there's an injury waiting to happen. I remember last year when things got heated, Nance almost broke his wrist cuz he was trying so hard to win. Trying to avoid that at all costs this year.

Summer league can be very hard to watch. Very little cohesion between players with high TO rates.

So far the rookie crop has looked great in summer league. Then again the bar wasn't set real high compared to last year.

That's sweet.
Can't wait to watch Lonzo and the rest of the youngsters at summer league.
