From what I have read, Crawford already has a "solid" relationship with Lonzo. For that reason alone, couldn't hurt.

I guess it depends on how big of a jump you expect Ingram, Nance, Zubac, and Randle to make this year, along with how big of a rookie year impact you expect Ball to have. I personally agree that this is the worst team in West, as its not just that they are lacking talent, but the pieces are an awkward fit.

Who out there is better and has more name appeal than Crawford for us right now?
I mean when you're handing out one year contracts, getting a guy like Crawford is probably your ceiling...

I'm on board with adding Crawford for a 1 year deal. I'm not a big fan of him, but he makes the Lakers a better team and more competitive. If you pair him with adding someone like Thabo then it makes sense. I don't think the Lakers can say we got Crawford, we're ready to go into 2017. They need to add defensive wings.

He would take away from Lonzo Ball's ROY campaign, thats for sure...so no thanks.

It took like 10 years to get rid of Nick Young. I dont want Jamal Crawford, Dion Waiters, or any of these "Wannabe" ballstopping SGs leeching around any longer.

He's such a horrible player.

Chucker with no defense, over dribbles, terrible IQ and situational awareness, and too much ball hogging isolation play. He's my least favorite player to watch.

I would rather have Thabo or Stuckey which both play a little defense... I can't wait to see Ball at Las Vegas... Run & Gun Baby... Ball & Ingram lockers are side by side & they are talking hoops everyday baby...

Crawford on the court is kinda meh, he's not going to move the dial for more wins per se but he also won't kill you... but off the court the way he handles the media and fans, the locker room is a huge bonus on a your team... he's good people and if you're looking for a mentor to work with the kids about how to be an NBA player you're not going to do much better

If he's a good locker room/mentoring presence, I don't see the harm of signing for a year and sticking him at the end of the bench.

Unless he's gonna demand playing time.

nah.. ellis is the opposite of what you want around the kids... btw, isn't he suspended for several games next season for violating the drug policy?
