Lakers need a backup pg
Lonzo is gonna be good.
Could lead the NBA in apg. But we still need a backup pg for 18 mins a night.
Who will it be?
I think lakers should sign tylawson for vet min

Has to be. Can shoot, defend, distribute, and knows the system. What's keeping FO from signing him makes me think he's Plan B and an FA signing for a backup PG is Plan A.

Ennis will probably be back, since interest around the league on him likely won't be very high. I would go after a veteran though, since Ennis isn't exactly a sure thing himself. Plenty of options out there like Rondo, Brooks, or Lawson are available. Any of them can hold the fort down for a stretch without too many problems.

I'd go with Ennis.
Really don't need or want Rondo's drama.
Brooks and Lawson are reasonable back ups but I'd rather go with Ennis. He played well for us down the stretch last year.

Lol. Good one.
He's the opposite of Lonzo.
Slow as molasses. Doesn't penetrate very well.
But a solid PG nonetheless.
not sure he fits Luke's offense.

Not that I want Rondo that much or anything, since I feel like we need players who can shoot and Rondo isn't exactly great at that. But what exactly is all this talk of drama? He had one bad tenure with Dallas, that's about it. Everywhere else, he has been a good player who didn't cause problems. The guy has a personality, as do 99% of players in the NBA, don't hold that one incident against him forever guys.

Re: Lakers need a backup pg
I do want to be fair to Rondo.
But I thought he had issues in Boston too, and KG had to keep him in line.
He apparently also had problems in CHI.
I saw a documentary piece on him once . He is very intelligent.
His problem is with respect for authority and in communication.

I do wish the chance of getting Crawford was still alive. We need as many scoring options off the bench as possible. And a backup of Deng/Crawford/Clarkson doesn't look too bad on paper.

Yeah I'm on the Ennis train as well. He played pretty good down the stretch. Give him another chance.

Ty Lawson. Dude actually has game. I though Clarkson would be the de facto backup PG though.

Tyler Ennis is more of a 3rd String. There aren't any good options left in FA.
It looks like JC will be the backup and we will need to address the SG position within the next few days.
