This was an awesome game by ball. But it also showed the need to build a serious lineup around him. Build the shooters around him, because he has proven, that he can put the rock on a dime, anywhere anytime. His passing accuracy is on an elite level. But he needs some dudes surrounding him, and he will get them the rock.

His craftiness at the basket is something nice. That's the difference between a finesse guy and someone who can get to the rim at will and make things happen but what a game though!

Yeah Ball has legit down hill speed.. his athleticism was very much underrated coming out of college... Some even said it was a weakness of his.. don't understand it ...

Nwaba waived to make room for KCP

Wow Lonzo filled the stat sheet. 36 pts, 8 rebounds, 11 assists, 5 assists and 2 blocks. He's not know for his defense but now he can be considered a good defender with those 5 assists and 2 blocks.

Only watched the highlights, but I really liked his demeanor. Even after his big plays, he seemed more reserved than showy.

So refreshing to have a leader who's all business and a showman and not a showman that can't handle his business.

We definitely need to get a good squad around him. I noticed the 6ers had guys cover him like glue on throw ins...they were trying to cut off passing lanes at half-court, and various other things. The great battle begins: Teams are scheming against this guy already, and weakness will be found, and exploited. Countermeasures will be found....etc etc.

What's gonna help Lonzo the most, is having a team with more talent. You couldn't swarm Shaq with Kobe out there. You couldn't have two guys making sure Kobe never touched the ball....cause it found it's way to Shaq. <---you get the idea. It's one thing to scheme against, and neutralize a single talent...but when you have 2-3 stars, or a strong team top-to-bottom...it means you have to play guys honest. Lonzo will be able to do what he wants against anyone 1on1.

I hope Ingram, and Lopez, and the rest at least allow Lonzo to showcase what he'd do for superstars. The shots are going to be there for these guys....let's hope they can drain them.

The kid is SPECIAL.

That 76ers team had no Fultz or Simmons lol

Get used to it.

It's funny my friend was texting me in the first half saying he's afraid Lonzo will turn out to be a rondo. Only a good passer. I had to tell him Lonzo doesn't look to score unless his team is down or in clutch moments. Then Lonzo goes off in the second half

I have seen enough of him at UCLA to know how good he is and how he affects every part of the game. As good as lonzo looked I did think his groin was bothering him in the first half.

You know other than his play I am so impressed by Lonzo's maturity. His interviews are so mature for his age. I feel more confident and better about Lonzo than I ever did with Russell due to Lonzos maturity. He really is an amazing teammate

Kuzma had a double-double as well. That's a good sign.

Good for him

Lonzo is a more complete player than Russell already. He will only improve his shooting and P&R play going forward.

He is the opposite of his dad personality-wise. Dad is all 'me, me, me' and all Lonzo ever looks to do on the basketball court is help maximize the team's success. It's not just about making 'right' decisions, he is constantly aware of what his teammates are doing, and if he sees a potential opportunity manifest itself he will always get the ball moving over to that spot.

The no-look passes and transition plays where he is creating is great, but where he really impacts a team over time is the hockey-assist type stuff.

Great game by Zo and the team last night, this is the reason why I defended the LAL/Brooklyn trade. Glad to see the chemistry the young players are developing on the court, unselfish pass-first basketball will be a thing of beauty. Once training camp opens with the full roster we will see the real results Zo will bring when we go in full mode.
