Nothing against the guy, but we already have Ingram.

We're also hearing rumors of guys like PG and Lebron coming here. Where's the room/need for this guy?

Shabazz is the biggest black hole in the entire league. 0.8 APG per 36 minutes. How is that even possible?

Lakers are not offering anyone more than a one year deal. I think he either goes back to Wolves or the Pelicans who just lost Solomon Hill and opened up their MLE.

If there's anyone who can turn Vander Blue into a ball sharer, it was Lonzo

So... invite Shabazz to training camp?

I doubt Shabazz would come as a camp invite. I think he wants a guaranteed contract.

At this point in the NBA timeline, there are so few teams left with room to sign Shabazz to a decent contract. The Lakers can offer the room exception at $4.3 million and Pelinka was his agent so the match might be a good one. 6'6" wing that will give you a boost off the bench providing 10-12 points a game isnt bad for room exception.

If Shabazz can be had at this point, you've gotta do it. It's a no brainer. 1 year, of course.

Yeah, I read an informed article by a journalist that pretty much said, once he gets the ball, he dribbles until he gets to the hoop—doesn't even seem to see open team mates ever.

Based on that, no thanks.

Can't find article now but I can dig if someone wants to read it. It also said he has a freakish motor, dives to the floor, runs the break, is a good athlete.

Based on that, sure.

Then the same article said, his effort is only on offense, doesn't play a lick of defense.

Based on that, no thanks.

We just got rid of Lou, Swaggy, and have JC still. Why would we even consider a one on five player who doesn't play defense?

He's the BPA. He's 24. He'll likely accept an MLE deal for 1 year at this point. He's a nice piece off the bench. Just do it.

Yea, ball sharer is a stretch. However, during the summer league he did appear to pass more than he has in the past.

Deng and Clarkson both have to go too if the Lakers are clearing cap. Maybe Randle too.

He would bring scoring off the bench

Lakers desperately need some people who can get buckets.

Hopefully lonzo will have his unselfish passing rub off on shabazz

I wouldn't mind signing him for cheap. If he's a black hole he can be benched. There's no risk when we aren't really competing for playoffs. We had 2 black hole guys last year and Luke made them both look good, one of them being traded for the pick that became Kuzma.

When you have a chance to gain an asset for cheap you take it as long as he's not a locker room cancer or anything.

Plus, Lebron is a fan of guys named Shabazz   (http://ftw.usatoday.com/2014/06/lebron-james-shabazz-napier)

He didn't shoot every time down the floor by the end of summer league. That basically makes him John Stockton compared to Shabazz.

Let's just say, quoting Breaking Bad's Saul Goodman "I know a guy, who knows a guy." :) Shabazz is also back to the agency that Pelinka used to handle. Rob used to handle him before he got the Lakers' gig if I'm right and switched to LeBron's pal before and they parted ways. Now, he's back.

Is it just me or is Muhammad's best position at PF, where we currently have a glut of players at?

Shabazz also can't hit a three with any sort of consistency.
