Kobe and Shaq of g league.

Caruso in his last 5 games is shooting 59% from the field and 50% from 3.

In case you didn't know, Metta is an assistant coach.

I was not very high on Bryant before the draft, but he is turning out to be an interesting project. The natural length and coordination is a great foundation. I thought he was soft in college, but that could also just be mistaken for how raw he was and even still is at the moment. I like him as a C prospect more than Zubac who is a generation too late.

I think Zubac has a lot of potential as a defensive big man with soft hands around the basket to catch passes. His timing on shot blocking is natural.

I'd love for us to get them both NBA game time reps by moving on Lopez and Bogut.

I liked Bryant from college and thought we might even go after him with our late first pick. That we picked him up with a second round is good but we only get him for this year and next. Bryant's improvement with the 3 point shot bodes well for the team. He started to show that range last year in Indiana and it looks like he has improved.

If he can continue to defend and block, he could have a long NBA career. Bryant is averaging 7.7 rebounds and 2.1 blocks per game for SB Lakers. He is flashing a lot of potential that the Lakers have to give him more minutes.

Well.... it's the G league after all. Bigs with any talent that can't make the NBA are in Europe or even Asia these days. I like the stats and both players are intriguing but the level of competition down there isn't a small step from the NBA... it's a leap.

Of the 2 Caruso is the most interesting. He seems to be a really good game manager and has a feel for an offense. Bryant is very raw. What he's doing down there probably doesn't translate as well as what Caruso is doing. He could be a Tarik Black type of player with time and a little discipline. Who knows.... maybe after the trade deadline these guys might be rotational players if we do what we think we might do with our team.

Caruso hasn't been with the team since early on. I would imagine we'll see him soon.

Thomas is 6'11 with a wingspan of 7'6" inches. He is not Tarik Black.

Thomas also is turning into a good 3 point shooter. He shot really well at Indiana and that is translating into G-League which is the same length as the NBA lines so it does translate well. If he can be a bit of a force with the blocks and rebounds plus the 3 point shooting then we have a gem in our hands.

Thomas Bryant is averaging 46% from 3 point range on 5.6 shots per game. That translates.
Thomas Bryant is averaging 76.7% from FT on 2.7 attempts per game. That translates.
6'11" and 7'6" translates.

TB over the summer.

Q) Why can't we dump Ennis over Caruso surely Caruso would be more impact then Ennis at this point? haven't seen diddly squat from Ennis all season except for a couple games for spot up minutes and he done basically nothing - at least Caruso can run the offense, pass make smart plays etc

Maybe.... maybe not. The competition level and general organization in the G league does not make it a true "minor league". Rarely does a player's game translate from that league to the NBA. The pay is very low compared to Europe for the "just below NBA players" so they go there rather than the G league. It's hard to get a feel for how a player excelling at that level will do up in the real game.

Zubac shot 37% from 3 last year at that level for instance. He shot 59% overall last year and in 3 games this year is shooting 68% while scoring 20 a game. In fact, his stats are every bit as impressive as Bryant's and we know the issues he's having at the NBA level.

They should just split minutes between the two Or just play Caruso when Ball needs to sit and when need JC can run the point at times.

Ennis is pretty much useless

I want Caruso ...

Maybe a "I want Carsuo" Thread is in need LOL
