6 games behind Denver with a rough schedule upcoming for them, dare to dream?
They're the 8th seed. In the next 10 days, they will face Boston, San Antonio, OKC and the Warriors.

Nah, certainly not dreaming. I'm not looking at playoffs at all. It's more about individuals and Ball, Ingram, Kuzma, Randle, Nance playing well together.

Every single game of those is winnable
Okc is the toughest opponent by far
USA Celtics in full effect. Amazing chemistry building experience right there for the main core of the team
Proceeds to finish 7th and shames the entire nation!

Re: 6 games behind Denver with a rough schedule upcoming for them, dare to dream?
Not impossible but also extremely unlikely, considering the fact that we have leapfrong the Jazz and Clippers are well, both teams whose records don't indicate their actual talent level (injuries). A realistic achievable but still end to the season is atleast maintaing the 11th seed...the teams below us are simply worse teams....with far more incentives to lose, AND having a record that would be the equivelent of 10th in the East. That would mean that our pick is likely to be 10th, which is probably a way worse pick than Boston expected when they made that trade.
Of course, leapfrogging atleast one of the Jazz or Clippers is far from impossible...who knows how strongly we might finish the season. Getting 9th seed would be exceeding expectations for this season, imo.

Nah, we have a rough schedule on the road coming up. The goal is to reach 30-35 wins this season.

We will need Zo back to truly make this happen. There's no way around that, unfortunately.

Re: 6 games behind Denver with a rough schedule upcoming for them, dare to dream?
Well, for starters, we're talking about trading Clarkson or Randle before the deadline. People need to be prepared for this team to take a major step backward at least initially if they trade one of those guys. Beyond that...
Minn, Tor, and NO? Even if OKC is the toughest opponent, (debatable IMO), they've got 5 games against teams definitely better, with 4 of those being on the road. I'd be happy with 5-5 as well.
As far as the season, 37 wins. That's my realistic hope.

Four-consecutive wins.
We obviously aren't making the playoffsāit never was realistic to move the needle from the lottery to the Western Conference Playoffs to begin with just without more than just the addition of a few lottery picks and role-playersābut if they at least have the accession of a middle-pack team? That'll mean a lot for me, progressionally speaking.
We're on-pace to win 30-plus games and counting now that our most embattling stretch of the season is over; between that and all our meteoric strides on the defensive end, it's as reassuring of realistic progress as I could have hoped for moving into the season.

We can lose 12 more games this season.
This team can beat anyone. Even when almost everyone is playing badly, they found a way to win.

Nothing to tank for...so why not dream?
We all know it's a LONG shot.....but who doesn't wanna see us in the playoffs? Honestly, I think it would be great for us to go get it handed to us by GS. Let the kids know what the real season is....give them perspective looking forward.

If we make the playoffs, watch out. This young group full of confidence and with solid defense? I wouldn't wanna face us.
It's possible, but not plausible.

okc will be the only difficult match up and the rest are winnable. I'm feeling optimistic, one game at a time.

Well....as much as I'd like to get carried away, we'd be facing GS. We'd be down by 18 in the first 5 minutes, before we even knew what hit us. GS will turn it on, and go full wrecking ball. 4 brutal beat-downs.
But we'd walk away with a much better understanding of what it takes. The youngsters would be shown a new level. And who knows? Maybe we make a game or two interesting.
