PG is a Dream.. Boogie is a risk and LEBRON hate him! too much drama.. diva but would not mind if he signs (far fetched)
I say we should save $ and Target affordable yet serviceable players
SG-Rodney Hood or Will Barton plus Joe Harris (We need shooters)
SF-Ariza and 1yr Contract for Joe Johnson (Vets that can score)
C-T.Chandler or Baynes or Len (another body)

Rodney Hood, Will Barton, Ariza, Tyson Chandler will not beat the Warriors. This is going to be a wasted experiment.
We may not be able to sign PG, Boogie and Lebron. But either way.......we can't waste our $$ on riff-raff like the guys you mentioned. I'm hearing roll-players. We could sign every single player you mentioned.....and we'll get torn apart by GS in 4-games....so no thanks.

I'd love to see LeBron go to Houston. Clint Capella then be comes expendable much like Harrison Barnes in the Durant acquisition. The Lakers are an ideal situation for him.

THis is the kind of thinking that gets you to offering 4 year deals to Deng and Mozgov.

With those terrible signings, we would repeat the Deng and Mozgov fiasco again. No thanks, I'd rather stick to this core than overpaying role players.

If we can't sign a legit superstar (George/LeBron) , I'd rather wait on 2019 FA and try to sign Butler/Leonard/Thompson. Don't do anything stupid like signing Capella long term.

I think there's a difference between a couple of banged up, washed up guys like Deng and Mozgov and a guy like Capella. There's a lot of consensus around the league that this kid is the real deal.

Really? There are easily 10 better Cs in the league than him, why chase and overpay a guy who is only good at rebounding and defending the paint?

He is a low usage big playing alongside two of the greatest pick and roll guards of this generation. If he doesn't look good there he won't be an NBA player. That's exactly how Mozgov got overrated playing with LeBron.

Well Slav, I know you been watching a lot more Rockets games over the past few years than me and I'm surprised you don't see the potential here. He was putting up the same numbers last year before Paul came to town. I'm not suggesting we overpay, but certainly we shouldn't overlook him. I really like his game. He is indeed limited, but he does play within those limitations very effectively. Hope he's on our board.

Capela is a good role player who is going to to get star money.
Unless it’s a one year deal like KCP, lakers should be using up their cap space on stars not role players.

Having lived in Houston, I've watched Capela since he was a rookie so what he's doing is nothing new to me. Before Paul came to town he was playing with harden who is an excellent pick and roll guard.

It takes two to Tango, and Capella is indeed good in the PnR. Sets good screens and what really stands out is how light he is on his feet. Excellent mobility for a big. Not surprised that he comes from a soccer background. But yeah, he'd likely come with a premium price tag. Doesn't change the fact that we're thin at the 5. Think I'd take Dedmon over Nerlens.

Ignoring the potential price tags, and argument for Capella is centered around an argument for replacing Randle. Can’t really play both together. Inevitably, have to decide which of the two give you more value once you know how much they cost.

We have already have like 8 players who are similiarly talented which is part of the reason it’s so hard to manage the team. Most teams you look at the roster and the starters and bench are obvious which makes everyone’s roles more defined and the players happier. Adding more average starters (on non-rookie contracts) is going to either upset our returning players or the newly acquired players. We should either continue with our squad (less Lopez and KCP) and allow them to continue to develop together or consolidate for an A tier player.

If we are going to sign mediocre players for a lotta dough I’d rather trade for them and extract a couple mid-high firsts out of someone like Charlotte. If we don’t go that route u only sign one yr deals to shooters and go for Leonard in 19

Instead of Capela just chase Noel on an affordable cheap deal.

Keep this core together and resign JR and sign DeAndre Jordan.

No big FA available, then wait for 2019 and keep developing the young guys.
