I guess you realistically can't get anything more than that, and if the FO is this confident in wanting two max spaces, you probably have to take it....But damn, after the Boogie injury I don'teven know if there are 2 realistic max players left in this free agency, unless for some odd reason Magic is confident that he can sign both Lebron and PG (which it doesn't sound like he is....considering reports such as Lakers are willing to save cap space for 09 or Lakers are willing to use cap on KCP Lopez etc)



Basically, is there a max level player we can realistically in addition to PG that would be better than Clarkson & Randle? Seems weird to hit gold on Clarkson and have a 7th pick overall in Randle who hasn't necessarily been a bust, and lose them both for one late first pick. Where the pick is going to decide how I feel about such a trade, but it's definitely not a situation to be too excited about, with it becoming more and more likely that our capspace might go unused (or used on the likes of Lopez/KCP), rather than on another max level player.

Also, I hope it's the pelican pick that's coming back, rather than the Cavs. The pelicans are really in a desperate situation. It actually weirdly makes sense for them to pull the trigger on such a trade, considering their current situation with virtually no other means of adding talent that fits their timeline for keeping AD.

as in the incoming contracts will not be expiring? Can't see us pulling the trigger if that's the case, unless we are really high on the pick being offered.

Well at least they keep playing well. So can't blame the two for not getting better value these days.

wow just wow. I don't know what to say

If this team gives up Randle + Clarkson for a pick in the 20-30 range, I'll lose it.

If it's Dallas, I'd roll the dice.

If we don't get salary relief what's the reason to trade 2 of our top 5 players? We don't get closer to anything we want to do.

If it's just a first I could see us do it for Randle I guess. Get something before he leaves. A first for BOTH of them is ludicrous.

Magic gave up Lou Williams for 28 and Corey Brewer's scrubbiness cause 'relations with agents'.

I think this is old news and essentially a dead end... I also think it coincides with the story out of Clev saying we had discussions with them presumably about Clarkson.

Don't believe it was a first for both...
