The Most Overlooked FA in 2018-19

Post#1 » by KidDynamit » Mon Feb 5, 2018 10:09 pm

Looking at the upcoming FA class it is hard to get really excited. The only decent FA available is PG and tbh I am not even that high on him.

Now I know the Lakers are after star power but you need good core players if you really want to compete.

Now look at those stats :

3.28 RPM.
21.82 PER.
39% 3PT on 5.2 Attempts.
19.5 PPG.
5 RPG.
5 APG.
28 Years Old.

Now who his this kid? Tyreke Evans!!

The market is COLDDD and I would be surprised if any team throw a big contract his way.

I am not saying the Lakers should go all out on him but I think he is a really nice grap if the price is right. He is a legit starting 2 guard.

What do you think?

He' a better option than Clarkson. Has his defense improved?

I know the cap squeeze is trifling but now NBA agents are getting desperate.

Looking FA's 2 offseasons from now is never a good thing. Players never stay the same. Tyreke Evans, Klay Thompson don't sound nearly as exciting in 2 years pushing 30.

Spoiler Alert: NO!

Tyreke is this year's Dion Waiters. 1 year bargain, and nothing less. He will be getting far more than 4m per next season.

Tyreke is a FA this offseason. I think he would be a great target if the price is right. If he had been able to shoot this well when he was in Sacramento he would be a superstar, since he has added it later he is just an above average starter that may be a great target due to the numbers crunch coming.

He doesn't make a lot of sense with Clarkson in the fold and his market is going to be around what Clarkson is getting paid. Just seems like a pointless move. They need help elsewhere.

How does that make you better than the Lin, Gallo, and Wil fans who root for them over NY?

Never been a fan but those numbers speak for themselves. Would definitely be down with a rental, if that's possible.

I’ve always been a fan of Tyreke Evans, skill level is unquestionable - he’s an elite dynamic guard.

But his health record is a huge risk. Can’t overlook that, which is why Steph Curry’s last contract was so paltry.

Health aside, I think Tyreke Evans and Seth Curry are two free agents I would definitely sign if the price were right.
