Jontay looks more like a stretch 4 compared to Metu. Metu is closer to a traditional big. If Lakers have no intention of bringing back Lopez or Randle they might pick up Metu. Also Metu has 3 years playing college ball like Kuzma. Lakers just might take him. Jontay has 3pt range, but we have enough 3pt chuckers on this team.

First off, I would definitely retain both randle and Brook in the offseason. There is no much centers in the league that is better than Brook. Not to mention how good Randle plays lately.
I've seen some of their highlights recently.
After 3 years, despite Metu's improvements and good post up offensive skills, his shots are still off and he is a bit tunnel vision. For Jontay, he has soft hands, nice court awareness/passing game and basketball iq. Both of them are long and versatile which gives them some benefits in defense. For now, I would give the edge to Jontay.

He is very likely to return to WVU for his Junior season. He just began to show some flashes of an offensive game this season, and will likely play a larger offensive role next season. Finally, the guy is not emotionally ready for the NBA....he showed a lot of growth in that area this season, but still needs to mature. All that being said, he was the best shot blocker in college basketball this season, and should only be better next season.

What's the opinion on Aaron Holiday? If IT doesn't come back would he fit in nicely as a 6th man scorer off the bench?

Holiday is too short to fit in our defensive scheme

My Choices:
Jontay porter using Cav's 1 st round
Bonga using our 2nd round pick (for future development)

we need depth as we are playing a fast paced game. Once Nance and Clarkson left and brewer being bought out, we were short handed and our energy on court declined. It may have induced injuries too (Lonzo & Ingram). We tried to sign Wear and Derrick Williams to make up for the shortage of wing players ( Ingram was our point guard when lonzo was out). Both of them were not good enough. That's why, drafting these 2 high ceiling wing players who have high backetball iq and good ball handling skills may be some nice choices.

Other candidates : Shake melton, Mccoy & Mitchell Robinson

With our picks, we should pick two of isaac bonga, jalen brunson, jontay porter or Aaron holiday.

this pick becomes crucial if you think about the possibility of us having to include a piece from our young core in a trade (to unload Deng perhaps). then again, we might have to include these picks in any trade.

76ers helping us get a better draft pick, I guess that's their way of paying us back for letting them keep our pick.

If I were a 76ers fan, I'd rather have King's pick next year which they now lose.

True but at least this way their main conference competition going forward ( Bo's) gets one less draft pick right?

Unless Magic sees someone that really impresses him, I'm betting Lakers take someone that can help now, which means 3-4 years of college ball just like Kuzma and Hart.

Metu gives me Taj Gibson vibes when i see him play. Taj was another unheralded Trojan that no one thought much of picked late, but has had a very fine career. I can envision the same thing with Metu. More offense less defense though.

Metu's got a nice versatile offensive game. Good height. Could definitely use more meat on the bones. Could definitely be another upperclassman surprise like Kuzma, where his game translate well in the NBA.

If the Lakers are losing faith in Zubac and Bryant. Dont want to play Randle at the C fulltime. Dont expect to sign BroLo Noel for the room exception. Metu at #25 to plug in at the C, is an option.

I mean, ideally id first rather draft a prototypical 7ft+ monster athlete to defend the middle and play PnR with, but all the good ones will be taken early and whatever is left can prolly be had in the 2nd.

Well actually ideally id use the CLE pick to dump Deng too, but hey if we had to make a pick, Metu aint a bad choice.
