Kings are taking Doncic at #2 1000% if they keep the pick. If they trade it to Boston, they're getting Jaylen Brown back as the main piece, another wing. They desperately need perimeter star power or at least star potential.

They're not taking another big until they see what they have in Giles.

A trade down into the top of the second round would preserve flexibility over rolling the dice with a late first round pick. On top of that, how many players do we need in their first 2 years if we make the big changes we want to make. Playoff ball separates the inexperienced from the experiences from the tip-off on. If it's Bron and PG we'd have a 3 year window at best.

For the 25th pick it'll be about 1.5mil first couple years guaranteed followed by team options. Also we don't have to sign him, we can wait and trade his rights if needed. Tatum completely shook up the NBA with the rookies can't contribute argument, or in his case dominate in the playoffs. Just look at what we did with Kuz and Hart late in the draft too before letting that pick go.

I think Tatum is the exception.... not a new paradigm. As it stands our team has too much youth to truly compete in the next couple of years if we get Bron. The odds are that a guy taken at this position will have a minimal impact overall. Sure there are the exceptions but I hope we're not counting on exceptions going forward.

Personally, if I had the choice between resigning Blop and Zubac, I think I'd take a chance and go with the cheaper/younger option... Like you said, he doesn't need to do a lot.

That said, if Robinson is there, you pick him IMO...

Zu is intriguing. I watched most of the games he played in the G league and he showed some stuff there that he hasn't yet up in the NBA. He's fairly passive at this level at this point. If he can hit the face up stuff like he did down there out to the 3 point line then he becomes even more interesting in the pick/pop/roll situations. Not sure he's a starting 5 but he's got a chance at being a 24-28 minute a night contributor given some seasoning. The whole Lopez/Bogut thing last year was really confusing to me.... leadership said it was a development year yet we ran with two vets in the post for 2/3 of the season while putting Zu in the G league.

If we sign PG and Lebron and dump Deng's salary with prospects/draft picks to save cash, I'm going to be really disappointed at the front office. These rookie scale contracts means so much more to capped-out contender teams when there is not much room to improve the roster. Along with our track record of drafting effective players in the late first round, I don't see the reason to deal the pick UNLESS there is a move to bring another star player.

I might be in the minority but I rather stretch Deng's contract if it also means we can also retain Randle. If we're going all-in in this situation, why the hell are we being cheap?

If jaylen brown is the centerpiece for 2, kings lost badly

I would be too afraid that with his unnatural build that he'd end up having injury issues throughout his career.

Yeah, I remember the good ole' Devin Ebanks/Derrick Caracter/ Chukwudiebere Maduabum days.

Glad to see we're more active on the draft thing. With a massive payroll coming up, this is how you add young talent from now on.

The Huerter and Smith rumors sound like mis-direction.

I like Brian Bowen. How about drafting Brian Bowen at 25? it's worth a gamble. he was the top high school prospect. looks like he has game.

Also if Michael Porter is available would you trade Lonzo to move up and draft him? I would this Michael Porter is great. Rob has been around Kobe and This guy to me is Kobe so he knows Kobe.

I think some team might be the Lakers put out smoke screen some team is trying to get him to them. that's my pick Micheal Porter.

Zhaire Smith would be fantastic, his stock is in freefall a bit also (no idea why, slipped from around 10 till to 15-20), i'd do Zubac + 25 for one of the picks between 16-20 and nab him there.

Lakers need a big. Their points in the paint defense was awful. Lopez escorted people to the rim and Kuzma was like the french in ww2 showing no resistance bruh.

Seems Michael Porter's draft stock falls significantly due to his injuries. How far will he fall?
IMO, he will be gone before 10. If he falls to 14, I say trade faried and #14 for #25 immediately.
I don't know if i am willing to trade any of our cores for picks ranging 5-10

Furthermore, if we are to trade one of our 4 cores in any trade, that should be Kuzma. His skill set is the easiest to be replaced with less upside. For instance, if we want a scorer from this draft to replace Kuzma, we may draft billy preston who can be had for a second rounder. Preston' can attack & score from anywhere from beyond the 3 point line to the rim. Good ball handling skill. Great athlete. A few other draftees showed nice scoring ability too.
