Had to come back for this GT, believe it or not we need this game and it's huge for us. Been a long time since we could actually say that. We're 6.5 out of 8th, national media keeps writing us off and it's fair to a degree but the main thing is we're in the last 7 or 8 weeks of the season and STILL haven't been mathematically eliminated from the playoff race.
That's the big picture here, it's not about making it that's not the story here. The story is that we can jack up playoff seedings which is way more important seeing how tight the seedings are from 3 through 8. We can do real damage....just like beating the Spurs which knocked them to 6th. It's been a weird close coming down the stretch.
The 8th seeded Nuggets are only 2 games out of 3rd...where Portland currently is, a loss to us would be devastating to them and that's what these games are about for us.
That said both teams come in hot, Blazers have won 6 straight and the Lakers 5. Big game for both teams, jacking up playoff seedings is more important than some may think.

that backcourt though.....Randle will be key in this one. If we keep their backcourt to under 50 i say job well done. After that we just need to produce all around (and Lopez needs to remember how to rebound, seriously he makes Hibbert look good on the boards).

Big game here Lonzo Vs. Lillard.
this is a playoff atmosphere they are in front of us and we have to beat them to get in front of them. I hope staples center is rocking. first playoff atmosphere at staples in a while.

We will face a team whose main purpose every year is to win the season series vs us. They play their hearts out every time they see the purple and gold. So I expect a very difficult game, hopefully we can beat them in front of our fans.

losing Ingram is tough... I think we need a full squad for this one, but Home Court is good and Randle seems to have started getting friendly whistles finally... So we got a shot...
Not sure about a shot at the playoffs though... It ain't that far away... We'll need a ton of help and a stellar run.

Looking for a competitive game. Not expecting a win considering it's on the road. No Ingram for the next three games.

It's in LA with Portland on a SEGABABA with Lillard and CJ McCollum coming off 37 and 38 minute games respectively.
Edit: JK not a SEGABABA, thought today was Sunday

No Ingram is a huge loss. Without him the Blazers might be a bit too hot for us to handle right now.
We will need big contributions from a lot of our players if we are to pull this one out. We can really use that early season Kuzma right now.
