It's stuff I think about from time to time.

1. What if we got CP in 2011

2. What if we hired Phil back in 2013

Would have really liked to have seen Kobe and CP3 together. I wonder if it would have worked, or been a disaster. If it would have worked, it would have been awesome. I think Dwight would have worked out much more, and we prob wouldn't have signed Phil, as I don't think that would have appealed to CP.

Would like to think we woulda won a title or two. I think Kobe's injury stemmed from that sprained ankle a week or two earlier. Would have been able to rest....but would he have? Or would he do his 200mile bike rides?? Dunno. I am not sure how much blame anyone should get for his injury. I think D'antoni playing him 8 more minutes a game for 3 weeks is but a grain of sand in what Kobe did to his body.

I'd guess we'd have won 2 titles. Woulda put Kobe up to 7. We'd be 1 over the Celtics. Another great thing is we woulda seen the Kobe / Lebron series we always wanted.

What we have going on now is really cool....but because of the things I listed in the paragraph above....I'd take getting CP3 if I could do it all over again.

Thank God we didn't hire Phil back. We dodged a major bullet there.

There were a lot of things going on in thaat- but the biggest thing I got from it was that Phil didn't want to go on Road Trips and only stay for home games - that was the biggest thing I read ever about that situation

Agree...I remember when D'antoni got all this heat for not playing Ebanks.

Now say what you will about D'antoni...but when your getting heat for how much you play Ebanks....your just getting torn for the sake of it.

I dislike CP3 at a genetic level. I would have probably taken his tenure here off as a Laker fan. That's how much I dislike that fake little POS. The flopping and the fake leadership along with constant yappin at refs makes him impossible to watch.

1. What if we got CP in 2011

Championships, Kobe, CP3 and Howard. Also Howard I suspect stays, we'd have at least a ring, if not 2. I'd say we'd be on our way down though, Kobe would be retired or on his last legs about now. CP3 and Howard, whilst good would barely be keeping us above the 8th seed. I'd say our future is a lot worse than it is now, but we'd be two rings better off.

2. What if we hired Phil back in 2013

Disaster, Phil as GM would have been as bad, if not worse than what occured in otl. Phil would have forced the triangle, meaning we're hiring and keeping Scott, Rambis or someone of that nature, who are terrible coaches.

What if Shaq had a decent work ethic and what if he had the will power to drive past a Krispy Kreme once in a while? What if Magic didn't party with hookers and porn stars.... What if we picked Dominique instead of Worthy.... what if Kareem was traded to NY in 83.... what if Pau had an aggressive demeanor..... what if JR Rider figured it out..... what if Artest missed that 3..... what if Kareem didn't sprain his ankle in game 5.... What if Worthy didn't make that pass.... What if Magic didn't make that hook? What if we didn't trade for Wilt.... what if Magic didn't get Westhead fired.... what if McKinney didn't fall of his bike? What if we listened to Nash's Physical Therapist....

I can sorta see that some guys here don't much care for the "what if game".

You do know that you don't have to reply to this post to reply to the post below it...right? Just sayin. Some folks hate the draft stuff. Some hate tank-talk. Some hate FA rumors and talk. Can't we all just get along

It's funny...on one hand, I totally get where your coming from. But the guy can play. The clippers relevance (for what it was) came and went with one single player. Not sure about the leadership stuff. He seems alright at that.

He does have that 'little yappy dog' thing about him. I can see how it would be annoying as F to watch that crap every game.

The guy's gotta do it in the playoffs.....till then, I'm gonna give this one to ya. But if they win it all this year....you gotta give the guy some credit.

What if's are interesting I guess in some context but in this one it's not. No one wants to really talk about some of the things that WENT our way in the last 40 years.... only about the ones that didn't. As a franchise we've been remarkably fortunate.
