Since you make every game thread here, can I please suggest something?

The "local" posters always include the channel that's airing the game...

Interesting to watch how the Lakers perform to show up LBJ enough to want to come here.

Also interesting to see how LBJ approaches this game. Will he do his normal routine or will he soft it a bit to preemptively make it okay to go to the team in LA that spanked the Cavs?

And Nance will kill us, as will JC.

I expect us to win this game. I expect the coaching staff to have mapped out and scouted the Cavs thoroughly for a few weeks, come up with a game plan to win this game. I doubt the same preparation would happen on Lue's end, as we're just the baby Lakers.

Magic has had this game circled for some time, book it. He knows what it would mean if we win this game big today.

I really hope and expect the fans to chant "Welcome" every time LeBron touches the ball. That's the only thing I care about this game lol

So disappointed we don't have a healthy Ingram (and Hart) for this stretch of games. We went from looking like we should win each game with Lonzo finally returning, to fighting an uphill battle every game.

We got some elite teams coming up in the schedule and it just would've been nice to see what our future could do against the best in the league.

This. It's really unfortunate. I think we would've taken numbers, gone on a long streak.

so much for the Cavs being better after the trade. They look like the same team, with the same problems.

Our guys will need to come out and play hard from the get go.
You know Nance and Clarkson are going to want to show us that we made a mistake trading them.
Let them get theirs.
We need to have a game plan for LBJ. I assume Kuz is going to get the bulk of the minutes against LBJ.

This is as much of a statement game as it comes.
Plus, we're still hopeful for an outside chance at the playoffs.
Our boys need to show LBJ that we have fight .

Let's go Lakers

I don't think he's salty right now. He was a big part of the community in LA and he was grateful on his social media to the Lakers and Los Angeles.

I'd put Randle on LBJ all night. He's the only one strong AND quick enough to have a slightest shot at slowing Bron down. Kuzma will not be able to defend him at all. I'd challenge Randle to make a defensive statement and to take it to him on the other end.

Call me crazy, but I think the Lakers should pitch the idea of trading for a guy like Kemba to Lebron in our free agency meeting. Shoot I might do it before we even go after Lebron. The math doesn't make any sense with a guy like George next to Lebron. He would turn into our fourth best player after Lebron, Lonzo, and Ingram after one season in LA. Paying George max money wouldn't turn our squad that would beat the Warriors either. It makes no sense to sign a max player just to say we finally landed two max players.

I like our chances if we have a Lonzo/Kemba/Ingram/Lebron type of arsenal. Kemba is expiring so if we trade for him before free agency they shouldn't be able to run up the price. If the asking price is Kuzma then I might pull the trigger. Seeing how important guys like Steph and Irving has kind of made me realize the game currently needs that quick iso scorer at the end of games in the playoffs. Seeing glimpses of Isaiah at 75% just makes me want a real deal shifty scoring pg next to all our great young defenders.

JC always been humble. Coming off the bench etc.... Hes always said he wants to be here to help the turnaround. Since we didn't win at all with him here, I think he just feels he hasn't done enough to warrant a tribute. Id want the lakers to give him one anyway just base off him being a good professional and doing whats best for the team even if the results wasn't there. At the end of the day, he was the 46th pick, all rookie 1st team and exceeded expectations.
