What would it take to land Davis via trade?

Ingram + KCP + Zubac + 1st?

Lebron for Anthony Davis. Who says no?

If the Pelicans end up with a better record than the Lakers, why would they seek to trade AD unless AD says I'm leaving in two years (when he can become a UFA)?

at that point, Pels would have no choice but to seek the best return they can get. It wouldn't matter what AD's preference would be.

So it could be another PG or KL situation, where their teams try to make the best of the situation they can and teams have to make deals with the possibility that they'd only be getting a rental.

Wiretap has a Woj story saying AD is looking for reasons to stay. Well Pels are unlikely to get another superstar to make them legit contenders so he has to really like cajun food to want to stay in NO.

There's no guarantee that AD on the Lakers would make them contenders, because they'd have to trade a lot of assets for him.

Or he could come to them in free agency in two years when his deal is up. But then Lebron will be 36?

Boston has the most assets but they'd have to trade a lot of salary in order to get him. I doubt NO would settle for FRPs unless they're at the top of the lottery and there's another AD in the draft.

I’d keep Lonzo, Hart, Ingram, Kuzma at 20m, yes, please. That’s four starters, with significant upside, at the cost of half of Lebron’s salary in 2020.

Add Anthony Davis and Kawhi, and we still have 24m of capspace for the best free agent(s) who wants to join the next dynasty.

Only happens if AD demands to be traded here.

LBJ is a Laker for at least the duration of his contract, likely until he retires.

Magic didn’t lure him here to make him trade bait for a crap team with a younger star. It’s a legacy thing, Magic and LBJ have a pass first brotherhood thing going. Not gonna happen.

If the Lakers get him for that, there are going to be all kinds of conspiracy theories.

I wouldn’t give Lebron that kind of currency at all. He didn’t prove anything for us. Even Kobe, who deserved the longest leash, at the end felt like a burden and obstacle. Lebron? Hasn’t done anything for us. I don’t see any obligation to him at all, emotionally or objectively. If we can get better as a team by trading him, why would we not? The only thing we owe him is the 150 million dollars.

One thing that really bothers me is the idea that somehow we’re a bad situation and Lebron is gracing us with his presence. Read the headlines - Lebron is saying "I know what I got myself into." You mean the best franchise in sports? We don’t know need to prove ourselves for him. He’s got to prove to us that he’ll be the best player in the league on both ends for the next 4 years. If not, ship his ass out.

We’ve got a talented young core, capspace, etc., I don’t want to give that up so we can accommodate Lebron. I bleed purple and gold. I have zero loyalty to Lebron. He’s got to step up and be who he’s advertised to be. If he falls short, take his ass behind the barn. I’m not going to spend the next four years selling our kids to feed the self-proclaimed king.

I wouldn't trade any of our young dudes who play hard and the right way and respect the purple and gold. They literally fight for one another - rather than putting their arms around their banana boat friends. They love being Lakers and they are doing it from the bottom. They're earning it. The hard way and the right way.

I wouldn’t trade any of them, straight up, for an entitled, patronizing, one-way old fart. Because that’s what he looks like, so prove to me he's better than that. F Lebron.

Can't trade KCP until Dec 15. I'd look at Vucevic first before Dedmon, gives us some additional passing and scoring.

Lonzo, LeBron, Lance, Svi, Ingram can all playmake, Rondo may not be necessary.

Suns need a PG and Lakers need another C.

Rondo and Zubac for Canaan and Chandler. All 1 year deals so it doesn't affect the future. Canaan can shoot and play on small PGs if necessary.

This seems like a good deal for both sides.

If the Lakers can find a serviceable center to back up McGee they might surprise some people this year. Needless to say the lack of depth at C concerns me considerably.

See all 17 trades that will happen this season (with full season predictions and 2019 Mock Off-Season for all 30 teams to come): http://www.thesportscrazy.com

INDIANA PACERS GET: Lance Stephenson

LOS ANGELES LAKERS GET: Kyle O'Quinn

The Indiana Pacers and Lance Stephenson have always been connected. At the cost of a free agent signing that wasn't an absolute need to bring him back seems worth it to the Pacers. Stephenson will probably be ready to reset in Indiana as he doesn't appear to be a great fit next to LeBron.

The Los Angeles Lakers should realize early on that Lance Stephenson doesn't compliment LeBron well. If they could turn him into some credible center depth, they should go for it. O'Quinn provides the Lakers with a solid big man off of the bench that plays well in his role.

Rondo for Dedmon on Dec 15

Lin looks utterly toast barely scratching 10 mins a game and maybe ATL would like to have a good backup PG who can also push Trae to play some SG mins (to help further develop him) in a small backcourt they can play in spurts. Playing Trae 38 mins a game is NOT a good recipe for his health and if Lin cant provide some good burn by then. They might actually push for a legit shot at the East #8 seed, if theyre still in it, with more backcourt talent.

Hell id do Rondo + KCP for Dedmon + Lin

I just want KCP gone at this point he provides nothing and is likely to be a lockerroom cancer if he mins get slashed even harder by Hart. ATL already committing hard to Collins and Spellman as their main bigs, Len has a 2 year deal, so no point keeping Dedmon since he's expiring. Lin is whatever at this point, he's prolly done as a player, but at least he wont cause any lockerroom problems if he doesnt get any PT. IF he improves at all its just a bonus, at this point, i'm willing to commit to a Stepenson + Ingram as backup PG for when Lonzo sits.

Will KCP waive his no trade clause? I think he will if we make it clear he's gonna get very little if any mins if he sticks around. The Laker will have given him a 1.5 year tryout and its his own damn fault for not taking advantage of it.
