We're truly better off burning future 1sts to get that stain off of our cap or at the very least try to find a way to downgrade the putridness like swapping Deng + stuff or Asik to stretch. 2.8mil a year is nowhere near as painful.

lol did you read the article?

"...his willingness to post an Instagram picture of himself last month from a hospital bed after undergoing arthroscopic surgery on his left knee has helped to fuel the notion in some corners that he’s in no rush to leave OKC."

That's a reach if I've ever seen one.

Click bait season is on us......

Who knows.... maybe the new management has a trick up their sleeve and the whole LeBron/PG thing is a smoke screen. If he stays in OKC that would be a very strange move unless the knee is something he doesn't want looked at closely or he's thinking that the market for him might not be there after all.

I really like josh hart... He's got that modern era Derek Fisher vibe to him.

That stuff is reaching. He says that there is belief that the Thunder have a better shot of landing him than they did after the playoffs. ---- That's a cool statement without a base. What was the belief at the time? What is the change in variable? I photo at the hospital?

Also it says "there is a strong belief that the Thunder are a better team than their first round exit showed". Wow. Better than a first round exit? I'd hope the Thunder would think that.

It's carefully worded to make us think that sources are saying that they have a better chance than the Lakers. Planted news being reported by a puppet who is eager to get Lakers clicks.

If we manage to land Kawhi and LeBron, we might have to pass on PG in favor of a more balanced roster. I'd be more inclined to keep Randle around.

Naw, i'm betting LBJ will only come if we get all 3 of LBJ/Kawhi/PG13.

However LBJ has to understand that we can only trade for Kawhi AFTER we secure him and PG13 first in FA.

Maginka has 2 mega high stakes deals he needs to pull off.

Dumping Deng + picks + cash for pure cap

Trading for Kawaii without giving up ALL of the future (ideally just only give up Ingram + S&T Randle, but if we also give up more in Kuzma and Lonzo, then our future is screwed and our depth is nuked).

Problem is that we need to sign George and LeBron in between trading for Kawhi so as to start acting as an over the cap team

Assuming we get get verbal commitment from Lebron that he will sign after we get PG13 and Kawhi, why can't we sign Lebron last? Wouldn't trading Deng + BI + Kuzma for Kawhi increase our cap space? We'd pretty much be able to give both PG13 and Lebron the max.

As for balancing the roster, forget that. The Warriors and Rockets have shown us the best defence is a bunch of swingmen that can switch on everything. Also we don't need a PG because we'd have Lebron as playmaker. Anyways a PG just allows for somebody that Steph can guard on defence as well as a liability for KD to force a switch on and go iso.

Can’t have a more balanced roster than a trio of wings that can guard 1-4, all handle the ball and all shoot it.

Yep comments like "more balance roster" is overthinking it a bit.

Also too I think the reporter pulled a dick move...knowing full well PG wasn't going to answer that.
