That would be an overpay. I would either give him a cheapish "prove it" deal if we strike on free agents, or a serious low team friendly 2-3 year contract.

He's anti clutch, and a questionable character. I'd pass. He's not a good player.

I honestly think he's still a better player than Clarkson (better 3pt shooter, better defender), but even then his pre-Cavs version of himself still wasnt worth 2 years 24 mil (basically whats left on Clarkson's deal) imho.

Assuming we whiff on everything, i think Hood would be the perfect buy low candidate in this cap space bear market. 3 years 20 mil i think is a perfect deal as it gives us a tradeable positive asset. A good salary ballast filler in case we try to make a move next season for a good player. Anything more than 20 mil starts to really ding his trade value, although 2 year 12 mil is a good alternative if he's unwilling to sign a 3 year deal, which imho he should try for a 1 year prove it deal, but if i'm a team i'm leery of signing a person who's gonna chuck hard for a year to pad his stats. A multiyear deal means he's gotta conform to the system to maximize his stats.
