 I don’t “like” them, I just like this group! I’m sorry! Lmao

This conversation is epic. And I feel your pain Tyler. I grew up hating the Celtics throughout the 80's, but now find myself saying what a great coach Stevens is, how I like Tatum and Brown's game....

Then I remind myself, it is the Celtics we are talking about here. I hate ALL Boston sports, period!

Lmao, I appreciate the fact you understand.

Understand guys, Purple and Gold runs through my Canadian body! Every time I see green, I want to puke!

BUT

- I just think of how idiotic Mitch & Jim Buss were went they went after Timofey Mozgov instead of Al Horford.
- I think of how much I loved Marcus Smart coming out of college, and I can only imagine the havoc Randle & Smart would create if they were wearing the same Purple and Gold uniform next season.
- Brad Stevens, need I say more? Watching him at Butler, I knew he would be special. And when we dabbled around with Mike D'Antoni and Byron Scott instead of shooting our shot at Stevens, I was upset! For the record, I see a little bit of "Brad Stevens" in Luke Walton. Good sign for US going forward.
- Tatum gushes about Kobe Bryant every chance he gets!
- I really liked when Brown was in here for a workout. His media availability was great. I knew he had the drive to be a great player, I just didn't have the balls to follow that up by saying I wanted him more than Ingram. I wanted Ingram then and I still do want Ingram going forward rather than Brown.

And I also think IF the Celtics or Rockets win, that's the best thing going forward for the Lakers. If Houston wins, it eliminates the possibility of LeBron signing there. Also, what happens to the Warriors? Does Klay become available? If the Celtics win, who knows what type of player movement that opens up within their own organization. At the same time, it knocks LeBron out of the playoffs, and with Houston or Boston, the player movement league wide this season would be massive.

I guess it was inevitable that this was going to end up this way, but a thread justifying all the reasons you're rooting for a team other than the Lakers in the playoffs, is a fairly uninteresting... And clearly off-topic...

Gives a ****?

We should have gotten this out of our system in no more than a page or 2...

For Golden State bc i like their style of play , like how Durant and Klay play and on the other side hate Lebron ,Paul and Harden so i can't root for their teams. I don't hate Celtics bc when i started to watch NBA whole East was irrelevant so if GSW don't go to the finals they would be lesser evil to win .

This was so hard to pick i'm not really rooting for anyone just trying to watch good basketball. I voted the Rockets but I changed my mind i'll probably go with the Warriors sweeping the Cavs in the finals. That way Lebron for sure leaves.

Dubs.

Why?

I hate green.
I don't like LeBron and his fans.
I don't like Paul.

Exactly! What laker fan in his or her right mind would ever want to see the Celtics win anything? I couldn't care less who won as long as it's not the Celtics.

there’s absolutely nothing a fellow Laker fan could say that would justify ever rooting for the Celtics, in my opinion.

Our team, The Los Angeles Lakers, just sent the Cavaliers to the finals. So our game plan to F the Celtics worked.

The season has been over for me since game 82. I don’t care who wins if it’s nit the Lakers. As long as it’s not the Celtics.

Harden, No D Antoni, Paul? No thanks.
Cavs? No. And LBJ needs a reason to leave for LA.
I would LEAST mind it if the Warriors won this one.
NBA titles since the merger: LAL 11, CHI 6, SAS 5, BOS 5, GSW 4.
