Who are you rooting for:

Looking at the current 4 teams left, I see 4 teams that I'm not particularly fond of. Last year the crop wasn't exactly far more likable, but it didn't matter as much as the finals was a given...this year, things are atleast way more interesting through 4 games. So the question is simple....one of these teams has to win a championship, immortalized in history and all that good stuff. If you had to choose, who woukld you want to see it?

Here is my analysis from the perspective of the Laker fanbase:

Why Cleveland?

They have two former Lakers playing, one atleast who was a fan favorite.
Other than possibly Lebron, they don't really have unlikable players (and maybe JR smith).
They aren't a heavy weight...there is an underdog factor.

Why not Cleveland:

Another Ring for Lebron. I'm not one of those Laker fans who hates Lebron and doesn't want to see him match Kobe in rings, but I'm sure for our fanbase as a whole, that's a valid reason to not want to see him win.
Realistically no chance of Lebron coming here if they win...if he wins a ring, he's staying, hurting our FA prospects.

Why Golden State:
A very fun team to watch, who plays basketball the right way.
Ring for former laker Swaggy P (lol who cares but I guess I should put it)

Why not GS:
The whole ruined the league dillema
I hate KD
Bandwagon fans
Division rivals

Why Houston:
Underdog factor. A team that realistically no one expected to see win.
Whether you agree with their style or not, they have a system where everyone buys in their role....they play very hard.
Former Laker factor- Trevor Ariza

Why not Houston:
CP3 is a flopper and he's obnoxious
Harden is a flopper and he's obnoxious
Tucker, Green, etc aren't the most likable players in the world.
MDA is a coach version of a flopper and he's obnoxious

Why Boston:
the real underdog team here.
Great team work and effort...great coaching
young players who no one gave a chance

Why not boston:
Unlikable players like Morris, Smart, and hoford.
ITS THE CELTICS

For me, rooting for the Celtics is simply not an option. From the other three teams, I can't get myself to root for the juggernaugt warriors either. I hate so much of what makes the rockets as well, so honestly, it's the Cavs, and relatively easily I might add. The negatives of the cavs winning (Lebron vs Kobe, Lebron being annoying, Lebron not coming here) are realistically not a factor for me, as I don't really get caught up in the Lebron vs Kobe stuff.....and I find Lebron less and less annoying as he has aged. Reason three is definitely an issue, but I don't think he was going to come here anyways, and besides, as great as he is, his age and our current situation makes me ok with him not coming either way.

They are the least annoying team imo....the lesser of all evils. Add Nance and to a lesser extent JC getting a ring and it makes it an easy decision for me, though I'm sure many will disagree and choose the Warriors or Rockets. Very curious to see how this poll ends up.

A work stoppage. I don't think I could choose any 1 team I'd want less than these 4 teams. Doesn't help that warriors are 90% gonna win from the start of the season. Also doesn't help that this offseason is so huge for us which makes these playoffs drag even more.

The least wrong answer is the warriors

As much as I hate watching them, Houston.

Although, I kind of do like the Celtics. Brad Stevens is phenomenal. Marcus Smart is a baller, Tatum is a Kobe fan and so fun to watch, Al Horford has been one of my favourite players since his Gators days, and I actually really loved Brown during the interview process leading up to the draft.

I get the whole "hate the Celtics" thing, but I have a hard time rooting against this group.

Give me a different finals besides Warriors and Cavs and I'm happy. I'm not particularly rooting for anybody. I hate all of these teams.

is there one where LeBron stays in Cleveland and Durant joins PG13 in LA to form the slender man three?

Lakers... Oh wait that's next year :)

this year:( I'd have to go with Houston - I hate them all but something different would be good - just as long as queen b don't win :)

Man we wouldn't have any troubles with height - even if IT was the backup PG and played along with ... Randle, Durant, BI, PG13 :)

I'm getting hard

Uhh... out of this crop, Cleveland, I guess.

The Nance and Clark scenario plays out in my mind sometimes, but I'm kinda over it at this point.

I'm indifferent with Houston; I've never had an issue with GS... hell, I felt sorry for them for so long, maybe it just hasn't kicked in, yet. Boston? Yeah, no.

Go Cleveland. Houston, and GSW.

Really, guys? Boston?!?! I cant imagine the hell this forums will be if Boston wins without Irving and Hayward. All those threads of how Tatum is better than Kobe, Magic and MJ.

Maybe it's a younger generation....but I can't root for Boston as a Laker fan. Can't do it.

Like it when they are good. LOVED that Kobe got a title over our true enemy. I think they have alot of good things going, and there's definitely respect for them.....but no way in hell I want them to hoist another title.

I'd like Rockets (long running feud I have had with some friends over D'antoni. A title would definitely vindicate me). But I also like the Warriors as a team alot. Hope Lebron makes it to finals again.
