The Wagner name might still be around Michigan come fall....his baby brother is contemplating whether to enroll to a US college or go pro. He has finished school a year earlier since he had good grades, will turn 17 in August.

Apparently he has an offer on the table from Michigan. 6'7 wing.

what....

Half of them are athletic...... Anthony Davis is not the benchmark for what an athletic bigman is, he's a freak.

Here is LakersFilmRoom on a great breakdown of what MoSwag brings to the Lakers...

Worst case he’s jason smith with some handles. That’s not awful for where he was drafted but not really a team need imo. If he hits his ceiling you could be looking at a slightly taller but slower kuzma
Warspite:

Prince + filler for Kobe Bryant
To be honest the way Prince has played and with Kobes injury/age/mileage Im not sure I would do that deal either. Still Prince is more important and he wins the head to head battles with Kobe.

Not going to lie, was hoping for more action from Maginka on draft night but will wait to reserve judgment on Wagner

Lakers did not need to go for a big-high-upside guy

Just a guy that fits a role. Wagner could fit a role.

He seems to be a character guy as well. DRuss. Ball drama. This guy seems to be on the upside. In football, teams try to draft less baggage. Personally I just wanna see if he got game.

That has been their MO for their late picks. Instead of risking the pick on a high risk/ high reward player- they go the safer route and choose a 3rd/4th year proven player that's ready to contribute now (Nance, Hart, Kuuuuz, clarkson, Wagner)... All of which have performed well.. Kuz was the rare exception that has played like a lottery pick..

This guy... Lakers did it again. What a good head on his shoulders. His interviews show his intelligence. He is gonna be a good piece.

OK so for the first time in 4-5 seasons, we are not very excited with our picks, but I believe he has been playing well enough in Summer League for us to start talking about him.

Wondering if he and Svi (off-topic on this thread) will be given the same exposure as what was given to Kuzma and Hart last season. We are particularly thin at the 5 spot and there's no clear starter at the 5 spot.

The time for development of prospects is over IMHO. With a 33 year old Bron it's about vets and experience. My guess is that these guys are end of the bench guys when we're all said and done this offseason. They will get some time but being in the rotation will take an injury or they are much better than their draft slot would suggest.

This guy Mo needs to take the roids Lonzo has been taking and shed that pork belly. I think LeBron is gonna like this kid. He really likes guys that talk on defense and bigs that can shoot.
LeBron's NBA Cup MVP is more valuable than either of KD's Finals MVPs. This is the word of the Lord
