Trade can’t be official until 7/6 due to the Sixers not being able to accept cash until the new season, already maxed out on acceptable cash for 17-18 season.

He's a high upside boom or bust type of pick from what i can gather from the draft profiles.

He's tall and lanky as hell with guard skills, could end up being 6'10. However he's got a sloppy handle and his overall skills isnt the greatest. So basically after a year or two of strengthening his body and polishing up his skills, he might turn into something special.

Was hoping for a quicker impact player, but it is what it is.

He's one of the youngest players in the draft, born November 99'. He looks 30 but he was born in Germany, so his age is legit.

He could still grow a few inches. A stash for at least one year, could end up something good if he fills up his frame and hones his skills.
That length is legit.

Went from being a non-shooter the year before to hitting around 32% of his threes last year. Went from 70% FT to 90% FT in the same span. Guy has potential.

this pick is something else, i like him kinda but not really. Bit of a waste to trade up for, he doesn't seem like anything special.

This pick confuses me particularly because how we traded for this pick.
Why trade with 76ers a day before the draft then draft a stash pick?
Its not like they had no options as Melton was still available.
I wonder if they had someone else in mind like a Carter, Brunson, Robinson or Trent Jr
before deciding on a pick and stash when they were all picked before #39 slot.

As for Bonga, I thought when Pelinka and Jesse were out in Eurpoe/Germany, they scouted Bonga and
they decided to select him. 6'10", young and growing point guard that can play wing and defend 1-4 slots.

I think Bonga's natural position is wing but shows he can handle the ball and pass like a point.
He struggles with his shot hitting only 30% from 3s but at least he has improved that number from 20% last year.
All stats are based on limited data and he did hit 90% from FT so maybe there is more potential for a super long 3&D guy.

About 4 months ago, Bonga was considered a late first rounder and part of me wanted to get him at #25
for his 3&D potential before he started slipping and better prospects showed up. I am thrilled to get Bonga
at #39 and see how he developes. I wish he were in G-League so he can work on his game with the team but we
shall see how this ends up.

Sounds like a consolation if we decide to part with Brandon Ingram.

I see this pick as a move for the further future when Lebron leave. Can be a cheaper way to add a valuable piece when our young cores are ready to get paid even if Lebron does not land in LA
Before that, he may remain in Europe for development, and we have his right through the draft.

3pt on rather low volume, 32 trys in 29 games along with 11 makes. But still far better to where he was last year. Esp. since the competition level increased by 2 leagues as well. (Played 3rd division the year before).

FT he was 65-71 on the season and 5-5 in the playoffs.

I feel like they went for shooting with the other 2 picks, needed to pick up a athlete who could guard multiple positions

Wasted pick here. My draft would have went like this, considering what was left-

25th-Robert Williams
39th-Keita Bates-Diop
47th-Kostas Antetokoumnpo
