In pursuit of a Centre Who can run the floor and block shots

I know I have been harping on about this, but it is pretty important, when you look at our roster, we now have shooting, good wing players who run, but we don't have a big who can run, all our bigs are frightfully slow for the most part, we don't really have a super athletic big that if we put in their, can keep up, or at least not be a hinderance on the fast break.
Therefore I raise the question, where do we get that big man from? We missed out on both Robert Williams and Mitchell Robinson, so is the F.A. the place to go (Nerlens Noel perhaps), do we trade for one (Skal from Sacramento, take a gamble on Thon Maker, trade for Dedmon).

DMC B4 INJURY but who knows now ...
I'd roll with Robert Sacre - The true Goat of Lakers. lol sorry drinkiinsg watching gsl starcraft and playing gamnes
Edit I can't hanlde another year of lolpez unless we get 2 star fa's - maybe 1 fa PG13 this year, then KL and Klay following

Edit again: Can Thon Maker be in the taking ? we gotta get my fellow aussies on the lakers

Ah the Legend of ISO Sacre shall never die!
Noel is pretty much our best bet for a C who can run. Only downside is that starting Randle beside Noel isnt ideal. However having some like Wagner off the bench can create good synergy with Randle. Then when we go mega small ball we run Randle at C for a bit.
It's starting to look like Zubac and Bryant wont get a chance to break into the rotation, especially if we sign or trade for a C.

lot people bagged on sacre, but for what he was worth, he was ok + he had a an ok face up jump shot when he took them - when I watched him play I was like, he gonna miss, but he hardly did IMO, just didn't get enough touches

Capela will likely be overpaid. Great role playing C who plays solid low post defense and can guard the pnr.
Randle is perhaps who we’re looking for. Same thing — as long as we don’t overpay.
DMC could barely jump over an apple pre-injury, nor run the floor. Pass. Noël? Nah.
Bamba or Maker? Sure, but I don’t see us getting either of them.

We should be ok with a traditional, finesse big in Zubac, an athletic, energy big in Bryant, a stretch big in Wagner, and of course the small ball big in Randle.
I think this is the only time we had this much versatility in our center position.

If we're getting LeBron I'm not sure running the floor will be as important. I don't see us continuing the up tempo as much with him. A guy who can hit an open face up 15 footer off the ball, rebound and set picks is what we really need at that position. Zu could be that guy if he progresses a little. I'm not sure on Bryant. His BBIQ is pretty low at this point to be a rotational player on a team trying to jump to 50+ wins.

Sacre was the best 60th pick to ever be a laker

Bamba. I wonder if Orlando would swap Bamba+Mack for Ball+Zubac?

Naw he was pretty bad. Michael Cooper was a 60th pick, so

Jabbar/McAdoo/Nater was pretty good and diverse. 3 All Stars to boot.....

Zubac
I just wonder how much Luke and company see him fit with the changes coming in.
I wanted to see more of Bryant, and like any rookie he needs NBA experience to gauge upon.
IZ did OK the time he was given.
Noel keeps getting his mentions coming here.
Gotta figure out the roles being asked in Waltons system.

Won't need a shot blocker as much with LeBron... Randle next to LeBron will be next to ideal. Then bring Zubac or one of the new guys we got off the bench for the 1% or so matchups we need a taller body... We'll be fine...

In today NBA you dont need niche players to play big minutes, just play the best players.

Mo Wagner Baby... Kid is 6’11.5 & plays physical with a high basketball IQ... He is faster than Lopez, Zubac, Pau & Bynum (last decent centers)... Don’t sleep on this kid boys... He is a solid player & will have a impact next year... His IQ will offset his lack of hops... Randle or ? will be our small ball center but Mo will be our stretch 5...
You guys will LOVE his passion, energy & positive impact on the game... He will be a fan favorite, basically, mad dog with skills...
Lakeshow Baby...

I feel that Lopez would be extremely beneficial to retain by keeping him around MW.
Learning from a respected NBA big should be in our best intetests for Wagner

Take a flyer on Nerlens Noel. Good defender and high basketball IQ. Perfect complement to Randle.
