Nope, let Dallas use up their cap for him.

Stay away. Hopefully Dallas goes after him. May open up opportunity to keep Randle

Way, way, way too risky. Almost nobody comes back 100 percent from that injury. And that's before you get into the character concerns.

He was insufferable when he was alright, now the frustration of coming back from an injury, missing out on max money might make him even harder to handle.

Yeah, his injury could be a blessing in disguise for us. One of the frustrating things about cap space is, like the draft, it's only as valuable as the players who are A. available, and B. willing to sign with you.

When you have a pre-peak Shaq available, you become an instant contender. When you have Paul George, Cousins coming off a catastrophic injury and maybe post-peak LeBron, probably not so much.

I've stuck up for Cousins as the past as I do think he's a remarkable player. But the thought of building around him would give me serious pause. Now that he's damaged goods, there's no way you can even think about him.

Nope... don't want that guy infect our team. Stats are seductive but this guy is worse than Melo in that he looks good but really isn't a guy that can advance a team.

He'd be more of a spot up shooter next year, won't be the same impact player, but will make an impact...

If Randle bolts we're going to have no one at center, No way i'm dealing with lolpez again unless off the bench and very very cheap

I'd risk it, because let's face it, Lebron ain't coming, it will probably come down to PG13 and I don't see us making a trade for KL, but let's hope so. DMC on a short 1-2 year deal for cheaper money gotta risk it and if he holds out ok look after him?

There's literally a thread a week on whether or not we should get Cousins... I keep moving them to the trade thread and they keep popping up.
The general consensus here is NO... But the question still gets asked..

So I'll leave this one up... It's not going to happen, but what the hell, right... If you guys want a 6'11/270# malcontent on one wheel, who am I to judge...

For 50cents on a dollar? Okay what about 40? Hell yeah. Im talkin price range. The injury brought the price down, unfortunately, in this cap environment, everyone else is lookin for a steal of a deal.

No thanks.
There is no doubt that he is talented.
I wouldn't have wanted him before the injury due to his erratic behavior.
It is a definite no no after the injury. He is a big coming off an achilles tear.
That's a 12-15 month rehab. His injury was in January of this year.
So if we sign him, we'd be paying him to rehab this year.

Why does that make a difference? He's still a bad help defender, needs to rehab and even if he is the same before injury he'd make the team defense much worse. Just not the type of player they want/need for what they are building.

He can shoot from deep, and score down. Given right system he could be better on defense. It’s risk though

If he was a PG sure but any defensive system usually requires the big to be at least a solid help defender. Boogie too often is just lazy on that end. Brook at least puts in effort there. New Orleans got better on all fronts when he went down. High usage bigs that don't defend can be a gift and a curse w/o everything else to cover for it. Look at the Nuggets and Jokic.
