Yeah, the guys on NBA TV said LeBron is high on him and might be worth a shot even if he isn't ready by January at the earliest.

I think wojo was reporting that cousins is highly likely to stay with NO LA on a short term deal

On Friday, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported on SportsCenter that Cousins "was on his way to a five-year, full-max contract, having the best season of his career, before the injury." Woj said the four-time All-Star is expected to remain with the Pelicans on a two-year deal.

Could be used in a trade at the deadline.

Cousins won't even be healthy till January.

I said in the other thread PG isn't even a thought for Lebron if he had a healthy Cousins on the market. If you want to come to LA, you want to draw parallel to West/Wilt, Kobe/Shaq, Kobe/Pau, Magic/Kareem ... Lebron/Cousins does that if Cousins is 80% of what he was

Cousins if he would not have got hurt was the second best guy in this market by a huge ass gap just like Lebron has a huge ass gap on the others.

Now if you can swing Cousins, Randle, and a deal for a Leonard

I will be happy with Cousins. In Magic I trust.

Cousins is the best center in the association.

I'd be okay with it as long as we secure Randle first.

Dear God why would we do this? Coming off a devastating injury like he just suffered???

Don't think Cousins would even be ready until the start of 2019.

since LAL can't see his medicals until now, this probably just means they are looking into his health to see whether to pursue. it is clear that PG wasn't a priority.

No way I'd give Cousins a max offer even for a year or 2... 15-20M/yr, maybe, and max him next season if he can still play.
Sucks for him, but I really don't think the market is going to be that high for him...

Plan might be to sign him now while you have cap, then re-sign Randle to a long term deal that takes you way over. With Randle in the mix and let’s say Lebron, there won’t be cap next season socgotta lock em in now before Randle gets his deal.

This seems like a "see.... I got a top FA" move to me. This guy has no business being on a team contending for a championship.

The rumblings were there that Lebron wanted Cousins, so you could be right on the mark. Lebron probably made it known through back channels. We shall see. But one way to combat small ball is to go big and pound GS on the boards and down low. Could be the thought.
