How screwed are we?

Post#1 » by Spens1 » Sun Jul 1, 2018 4:35 am

Seriously the first domino fell, we can't even attract Paul freaking George and that was all but confirmed. Is it just time to admit stuff it, these guys don't want to play in L.A and go full on and take on cap for the year. Especially since we own the 2019 pick

maybe Faried + MPJ for Wagner or some other deals to take on salary this year.

Woj suggested that Paul might not like pressure cookers like being a Laker along with LeBron would be. OKC might fit more with his personality.

If we get Lebron we are not screwed at all. We are instantly a playoff team and probably a top 5 western conference team. We add another healthy superstar we are championship contenders. We add two superstars we are champions again

Gotta stop going for these top tier guys who are all afraid to fill in Kobe's shoes :) - Kobe the real goat

Gotta build from the ground up- we are almost there IMO ... We need to prove that we have what it takes to win, next year gotta make it to playoffs and make some noise - this will get the ball rolling.

This makes the Kawhi trade more difficult in my opinion.

The guy left 90 million on the table to go from one small market to another small market. Not smart

Within the next half hour we'll have LeBron... So not screwed at all...

The cool thing about that is with LeBon on the team, if we can't get Kawhi this season, we could wait, because next season everybody will be lining up to play with him.

This has always been about Lebron. If he goes back to CLE, then yeah, we will have to wait and hope the kids develop.

Yeah, but GS is still going to kill us if the youngins don't step up. LeBron alone will not beat GS.

Was that really your expectation?

Can't go from being the 10th seed or whatever we were to champions in one off-season. Chill.

it's time to start looking at expiring contracts for deng, as well as preserving that max cap slot for kawhi

are we positive about that? we all thought George was done and then he goes back to OKC, i wouldn't be surprised if we lose out on him also cause we were unable to get George.

Let’s not panic here. We were likely to be a fringe playoff team next without any major roster upgrades, and there’s a high likelihood we’ll land Lebron, and with the FA money drying up quickly, we’re should get Randle back on a reasonable deal.

Lebron plus Randle re-signed to a cheap deal is hardly a terrible offseason.

Oh it won't be LeBron alone... We're going to have a bunch of guys lining up for a shot to play with him this season... And this season is a tune-up season anyway... Next season is the important one... And if we're not scaring the hell out of GSW by then, Magic's leaving anyway... So figure on another mini rebuild then.

Actually, for the last two weeks there’s been a ton of steam regarding PG back to OKC. Those of us who didn’t ignore the news were pointing that out.

In the same fashion, there’s been a ton of steam regarding Lebron to LA.

Wouldn't mind KCP but wouldn't bring BroLo back unless its a vet min, rather go another route and go for a guy like a Derrick Favours.
