If the Lakers are really looking at Gordon that's a direct slap in the face to Randle.

Randle is really a small ball 5, Gordon due to his range is an effective floor spreading pf. Despite their similar sizes, I don’t think they play similar roles.

Having said that, yeah, I don’t think you can realistically invest big money in both.

Aaron Gordon and Capela is a really good frontcourt. Both are finishers that would work well with Lonzo. Lonzo, Ingram, Kuz, Gordon and Capela. That's a playoff lineup.

Amir: Maybe with 1 yr deal, anything longer, nah.
AG: Nice player but not a max-level salary player (yes, that's the price to pay if you want to pry him away from Magic).

What we did last year was perfect, KCP/BroLo, IT on one year contracts. Can’t help what happened with PG and possibly Lebron. Let’s do it again, showcase our prospects and see if we’re playoff bound this year. Then we can play the capspace game again next year. Guys like AG and Clint are not players we want to lock up long term for major capspace in my opinion.

Edit: or like others have said eat a big contract for a year that’s tied to an asset.
