Can someone help?

What are our options?

After the KCP signing, next to nothing left.

However, if we stretch Deng that will open up an additional $11M.

If we then renounce Randle, that will give us an additional $12.4M on top of that.

EDIT: That also assumes Lance (Room) + McGee (minimum).

We're capped out.

We've used the room MLE already.

We just need to re-sign Randle

we are right now a less than $4 million under the cap (assuming McGee is a vet exception?) with Randles cap hold and Luol Deng. If we remove Randle's cap hold we would have a bit more than $16 Million in space with Deng. If we remove Randle and stretch Deng, we would have about $27 Million in cap space....and without Randle and Deng traded for nothing coming back.....around $34 Million in cap space.

Yup. If we sign Randle before this nights done, I'll be over the moon.

I think we're holding off to see if we can't get a deal for Kawhi done.

I hope not, I'm good to roll with this crew

if McGee signed for vet min. exception....still more than $3 Million under cap by my "quick math" which means I could have made a mistake.

None of this is done already, they're all verbal agreements until July 6th

I dont think we are stretching Deng this year.

We are left with Randle & Mintz. We could resign him or I believe the Lakers/Bron are waging a war against
Mintz.

1. Trade Dlo
2. Issue with PG
3. Brewing issue with Randle.

If the Lakers renounce Randle, then its a Lakers/Bron against Mintz.

If we pass on Randle, we have $12 million. With that we can sign a backup point (Rondo) and BroLo/Noel.

McGee doesnt get the full Vet Minimum. He was making $1.4 million last year and I can see a small bump to $3.

Wouldn't we have Lopez's Bird rights? If so you can just sign him to a fat one-year deal to entice him back and increase our depth.

Whatever the situation is, McGee's going to get his vet min, which for a 10 year vet is 2.3 mil

Unfortunately we don't. Because his cap hold was like $30M. So we had to renounce those rights to sign LeBron.

It varies depending on number of years in the league

Ah, copy that. He would have been a solid fit.

All the minimum guys will probably be signed after we're sure we don't need the cap space already. So in terms of the space, they won't count yet. Same goes for Lance, who will sign with the room exception after we exhaust the cap space.

Note that nothing has been done yet with respect to signings. these are all agreements, but nothing can be done until the start of the league year. At that time, LAL will look at all of the agreements and trades and structure the signings in the order to best use the cap and the exceptions. The next big news will be the SA trade and either SA takes a S&T Randle or we need a third team to take on Deng.
