I didn't want him back, but by the looks of things we might need him - just hope it's not for the starting spot, but then again having Mcgee and a rookie as our centre AND RANDLE GONE - lolpez might be worthy just hope he can hit his 3's

Edit: he did say he was willing to sign cheaper if for chances of a chip?

I don't understand what the holdup is on getting this guy re-signed. Bringing him back should have been a way higher priority than bringing in Rondo, Lance, or McGee. That became especially true when we lost Randle.

Who is going to soak up minutes at the 4? LeBron/Kuzma is a thin rotation once you take into account James' desire to play the 3 during the RS.

I assume there is already a handshake agreement in place while they wait on the trade market. Lopez's name is nowhere in talks. He is one of the best names available and his camp or the NBA is shouting from a megaphone in an attempt to get attention. He seems to just be kicking back and waiting.

I’d be ok with that I guess. I just don’t know what’s left out there on the FA market that we’d be waiting on. As far as the trade market, we better not be still waiting around in the Spurms. They’re just wasting our time.

Lopez isn’t all that great and moves at glacial speed but playing alongside LeBron might be just what he needs. ‘Bron should be able to get him tons of easy looks near the rim.

Don’t think Lopez fits the type of defensive ability and awareness that this team seems to be building towards.

I agree, doesn't seem like a fit with this roster.

I would say yes and no. He doesn’t fit with a plan to switch things like McGee does. But he could fit if one group was good enough to funnel without opening the corner 3 up.

I’m half way thinking they may go with a small ball group and use a Kuzma or lebron at the 5 more so when Javale sits to start the halves since he can give you a hard 5-7 mins at a time with his asthma

At that price pretty clear Lakers didn’t make an offer

Damn... We probably didn't have enough to offer to intrigue him.

Nah, he signed for even less than the lakers couldve offered, so lakers probably didn’t want him back at any price

Seems like we have our eyes set on someone, sitting on that ~ $5.6M in space. I thought Lopez would be the final piece to return but clearly not.
