Outside of Leonard, Cousins and Butler may be the most likely to switch teams. Per a source close to Butler, he's open to the idea of moving on from the Timberwolves to play alongside James in Los Angeles.

Need? Im not a Jimmy Butler fan but he is an all-star. Lakers currently have zero all-stars outside of LeBron. i imagine Jimmy would look a ton better playing second fiddle to LeBron.

If Kawhi wants to come to the lakers, there’s no need for Butler.

If the lakers like what they see out of their wings and prefer to use their money on say Cousins, there’s no need for Butler.

If the Lakers get butler that means they feel that kwahi is out of the picture. I assume cousins is out of the picture considering they passed on him this off season. Iirc ramona said Lakers had a chance and passed.

And this one says why. He can get an additional 40-80 Million by waiting until the summer for just one additional year. We'll see.... but the difference in $$ kept PG13 in OKC with Westbrook. KAT may be hard to play with but that much difference in money buys a lot of consolation prizes.

Regardless of what one might think of Butler, what a difference a year makes... The lining up has begun a year out. Leonard, Butler, who next?

I think of Butler as a great role player who gets paid franchise player money. Will never be the 1st or even the 2nd best player on a ring-winning team.

Like I said, I'm not really a butler guy but the teams he's been put on forced him to be 'the guy' and he wouldn't be that here. Who knows what he can be as the second option.
