Pre-season over it's prediction time - how far will we go?

Ok so pre-season is finally over and it's about a week until the regular season starts.

Even though some of you have already made your own predictions have your predictions changed now that you've seen the team in action going 3-3 in the pre-season isn't too bad, especially when beating GSW twice :) = there days are over

Prediction times

1) GSW
2) HOU
3) Utah
4) OKC
5) Portland
6) Lakers
7) Nuggets - think they'll go alright this year
8) This will be either Spurs OR MEM here - not sure how spurs will go.

As long as injuries are small and we play well together we'll make play offs, just as long those Injuries will be kept down

FT"s and ticky tacky fouls and turnovers are things we need to watch out for

MVP = Queen Bee
MIP = INgram
6th man = King Kuz

surprise factors = Wear
Fun to watch guys = Rondo/Lance/Beasley
Fan favourite = J.Hart

Edit: If James wins 2 out of 4 chips with us i will call him 'King James' but only once.

I think the Nuggets will surprise this year. They have a pretty balanced team and if they play any defense at all they could be pretty good. Portland is the one I see dropping on that list.

I think we could get to 5th. I think we will have some tough patches this season and I think we'll look great at times too. Youth has a way of doing that. If we're in the thick of it come playoff time I'd expect the rotations to shorten up and the veterans to get the heavy minutes. If we flame out and we're barely in the playoff picture come the trade deadline look out. It's hard to predict because this is yet another completely new combination we've put together.

I feel pretty optimistic having the greatest player ever on our side. 3rd seed and WCF losing to the invincible team.

it’s WCF or bust for me. dont really care about seeding unless one of our guys are running for mvp.

51-31, will catch fire after ASB, lose in WCF.

Edit
I also think we’re gonna go on a tear starting the season seasib off 10-2 or alike. I hope LBJ holds up until the team gets settled. Luke will probably start out playing him 35 minutes per game.

by what would jack bauer do?
An injury away from Curry or Durant from reaching the NBA finals. (Or an injury away from Lebron from a first round exit).

The Warriors look really pedestrian without Curry healthy and with Durant playing his ISO ball. It kinda got swept under the rug during their playoff run but Draymond looks to be on the athletic decline already. Getting blocked by the rim and not being able to get up to dunk like he used to. I think next year he might have a real drop off (think older clarence weatherspoon getting chronically blocked by the rim).

Also, Iggy looks like his back is going to hinder him the rest of his career. Shaun Livingston's unblockable mid-range jumper now looks stoppable.

Right now if I'm ranking the top contenders I got
1. Warriors
2. Celtics
3. Lakers
4. Rockets (they lost too much speed and defense with Ariza/Moute gone and Carmelo is a negative addition at his age stepping into that void).

But injuries and other shenanigans (draymond) have played a big part in the playoffs the last 4 years.

4th or 5th seed.

Beat OKC in the first round. Lose to GSW in the 2nd round in 6 games.

both Kareem and Jordan are retired but we do have the 3rd best ever....

I think a second round playoff spot is expected, I'd be disappointed if we didn't make it that far... probably 5th in the conference at the end of the season but wouldn't shock me if we snuck in a spot or two higher. My thinking is we'll struggle early on and that will hurt the standings but by the end of the season they'll be firing on all cylinders heading into the playoffs

speaking of GSW resting players, I remember last year and the year b4, in their last pre-season game or 2 they started to play like it was a regular season play their players as normal, but this year they didn't - got to think about that :)

I honestly have Zero idea how good we are going to be... My head says anywhere from 6-9... Lebron is going to do lebron things.. that alone will keep us around 500 if he stays healthy. Everything above that will rest solely on how well BI does this season. he has to be the legitimate second scoring option for us this year. I'm talking 18-20 ppg . He should be freed up a bit playing with bron.

I'm thinking right around 48-50 wins. Depends on who we draw in playoffs. I'll go 2nd-round exit.

I think Ingram is gonna have a really good season. But that's not enough to get us too far. We are very short, and shooting is question. If more young guys step up, maybe we make some big noise.

I'm gonna set my expectations a little low, and enjoy the season. I think next year will be the year we are a legit contender.

I have feeling we will do some trade for a star player

Yeah, it sure seems like Wagner, KCP, Stephenson and a future protected 1st will be shipped for Jimmy Butler come mid-season.

Or a bigger deal that basically involves Lonzo for Lillard.
