damn, i can't believe he's worth so much more than randle
Randle wouldn’t have signed that deal, he preferred a shorter contract and a bet on himself heading into unrestricted free agency rather than committing long term to a deal barely over $10 a year.

Randle will get a near max deal next year i'm sure from Dallas because if they miss out again on DMC and other potential max guys, they'll bring back DJ and sign Randle to be one of their main guys i'm sure.

Also Randle made a terrible mistake not wanting to stay i think, as a starting centre he would have been so damn important this year, he'd have gotten the max immediately from some other team.

Good to see Nance get paid.
Good to see the Lakers not pay that amount.

While I value Nance more than randle (intangibles), the rest of the world don't....
Randle needs to fire his stupid ass agent.

Not sure what an agent can do when a player is a restricted free agent on a team unwilling to offer a long term deal.

Good for him, he's an intriguing talent if he learns to shoot at a decent volume and efficiency.

Re: Randle vs Nance, timing and environment makes a lot of difference. Randle is undoubtedly more talented but Cleveland is the kind of small market team that will pay to hoard its talent.

Good for Larry, but with that said I can’t help to think that the Cavs just Deng/moz that deal

deng and moz deals are beyond atrocious, and while larry's isn't a bargain, it ain't bad either. happy for the former Laker.

Yeah, Cleveland really has no other choice than to pay whatever talent they have right now... If Randle was available now, I'm sure they would have paid him a lot more...
That said, after his performance in the playoffs, I thought Nance would be fighting to stay out of the over-seas market... But whatever... 'Hometown Boy,' 'Legacy,' and all that... Also he jumps well.

I think Wear could develop into a poor man’s Nance, being the guy that does the dirty work. And he’s got hops, too.

And a nice jumper... And he's not afraid to take the big shot.

Re: Larry got paid - 4 yr, 45 mil
Nance gets insanely underrated as a defender. He was third in the league in DRPM among PFs last year, just slightly behind Draymond Green and Anthony Davis. The Cavs knew what they were doing
The difference between Randle and him is that Nance is good at something, an entertaining act to watch, has less ego, and his agent isn't stupid. Randle had no market not because money was not there but because he had no elite skill set, no marketability, no accolades, no stats, and nothing of substance to back him. Nance may start in Cleveland or be the sixth man, whereas Radnle isn't even endining games or starting over Mirotic and AD

Yep. Solid defender for the most part, too. He’ll get minutes from Luke. Off the ball offense and off ball movement as spot up shooter is decent. LB, RR, LBJ, Ingram will find him.
He should cut to the hoop more often, do his best Larry.
