LeBron James Injury Update *Will Not Make the Road Trip*

I'm surprised we have no thread to cover his injury update. He won't be traveling with the team to OKC and Houston so that much is a bit disappointing. We are in serious risk of missing the playoffs if he doesn't return soon. Whats the deal? Anyone have any idea or thoughts as to when he will be back? It was reported not serious but hes about to miss a month with it. A bit frustrating considering how healthy he has been in the past and I believe he is healthy enough to play but just isn't giving it a go.

There already was. Rich Paul said he will miss the next 2 games, at least, but no date as to when he will be back

I think the team can steal 1 game in the next two, OKC is not that good and Houston is injury ridden too, so who knows...But for the GSW game we absolutely need Bron.

I'm not too sure about that. OKC has been struggling and will be coming off a tough loss against the Hawks, looking to get back on track at home. Houston...well Houston has the best scorer in the NBA and we are team full of dudes that couldn't put the rock in an ocean. I'm not too optimistic but I sure hope you are right. We NEED LeBron back ASAP.

I was pretty sure that wasn't it and I was right. the WT is now reporting that the Lakers medical staff cleared him for practice starting next week.

Sure, right. Why didn't Rich Paul (or anybody else) say this in the first place?

Grade 1 is a minor strain, Grade 2 is moderate to severe partial tear. Grade 3 is a complete tear and loss of function. All reports stated that the MRI results showed a slight, minor, or not serious strain.

When Bron said he felt a "pop" you could tell is wasn't a Grade 1.

Whatever, I'd rather have a healthy LeBron

100/100 times instead of a persistently injured LeBron.

Does everyone remember the Dwight year?

Its disappointing because with a healthy LeBron I think they’d have beaten the Clippers, Cavs, Kings, and Knicks. Good for a 28-17 record which would be 3 seed in the West, which is exactly where I had them pegged before the season (though I expected Houston to be where the Nuggets are).

I’m not worried about missing the playoffs, and I think LeBron can miss the next 5 games and come back at full strength, and we’ll be completely fine. The key now is seeding. I still think at full strength this team can make the WCF if they avoid GSW.

Yes, the standard for them now is a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. It was a change instituted a few years back.

Is he not good at his job? Is there a reason to single him out for benefitting from someone helping to open an opportunity?

Yeah, the only client he seems to have failed so far is KCP and he is still doing a decent job of recouping the 4/$80M they turned down in Detroit.

How hard is it to be AD, Wall, Simmons, and LeBron's agent? Those guys just decide which max contract they want and sign it...

And the rest of his clients all benefit from being on the same agent as LeBron...

And this isn't like you're high school auto shop teacher put in a good word for you at the local AutoZone...
Some agents never get a client like LeBron...

That aside... Cmon Doc, I've heard how critical you can be about statements made by players/agents/execs... Does that statement really give you a solid feeling?

It's pretty easy to start seeing him as a less transparent Scott Boras.
