Nah this is a move to make a move...and the easy targets are Zubac and Beasley.

And guest what? FO followed it up with another easy move...signing a big name player Melo

To be clear, I don't care about keeping Zu or not, just that we got almost nothing for a kid who impressed everyone this year.

This front office has lost their minds, this season they've been nothing short of a disgrace.

We're heading back to the dark years i feel, we may have Lebron but that's only papering over the cracks.

Assuming he is the one who told them to draft Lonzo, he deserves it then.

We didnt add any real shooting. 34% for the year. 37% for career on very low attempts.

This. We got a currently below average shooter who can’t defend.

I’ve defended Magic a lot, but he keeps letting go of prospects for little to no return. If we strike out in free agency. Magic should be fired

I just see the Zu trade where the Clips use him in a future trade.
Adding Beasley just made it for posturing so as to take the light off the franchise, considering the moment, in a more subtle release.

Won't whatever shooting he may provide be nullified by the fact he can literally do nothing else on a basketball court?

i fear our signing LBJ may have been the worst that could have happened to the team. Apparently the only thing that matters is pleasing him, and screw the future. Ask CLE how that worked out for them ...

I mean, pleasing him is pleasing yourselves. You both want championships right?

You know how many teams have had more promising young lineups than the Lakers over the years? Actually hundreds, you know how many teams have won championships without a top 10 player? Which one of the young Lakers is going to be a top 10 player?

Depends on how "top 10" is defined. I don't see any of them being leaders or even dominant players on a true contender. Ingram may score 20 some day on decent efficiency and make an All Star team but I don't see a guy who can change a team's direction in him. Ball has some high skill in a couple areas but the gaps in others are not small. What they do have in common is a lack of fire IMHO.

Kuzma is a finishing piece guy. He is the one of the group who can score in bunches and has come a long way as a defender. He's still not a center piece guy. Randle and Russell are in the same category as well.

I posted in another thread the last 20 drafts and the second overall pick. Only Durant has grown into a top 10 player of that entire group. LA is close but not there. What was telling is that only 4 became All Stars and only 2 more than once.

No one on this team is a future top 10 player in my opinion if we're talking about truly leading a contending team. Advanced stats and that stuff maybe but then again that stuff is for fans of teams that aren't contenders IMHO.

Kanter is a very bad player. If winning is the priority then he’s the wrong guy to bring in.
