I keep saying it but Melo on some of the clear outs Luke calls for post ups and mid ISO’s for Bi/Beas going to even this version of Melo is cash money. He can hit free throws, post, and has a better three than Kuz or BI. In a 20min role he can play next to Bron, Kuz, BI at the 4/5 off the sheer fact he’s strong as a bull in a china shop.

Kanter took shots at lebron and a lot of other players with his mouth so his market is more compressed than anyone else bought out. He also reportedly didn’t get along with KD in okc. Interested in seeing where he ends up

They won't waive Bonga, he's guaranteed for 3 seasons and they like him a lot. No coincidence that they retained him over Zubac and Svi.

I like Ellington but if he arrives, Lance is the odd man out with Ingram, KCP, Hart, Bullock all competing for the 2/3 spot minutes alongside LeBron ofcourse.

I see Lance as the backup PG for most of the remaining season. Lonzo will be out and brought back slowly.
But you're right Hart, KCP, Bullock will split a lot of the SG/SF backup minutes.

Muscala probably takes the C rotation so the real missing need is a PF.

Markieff Morris is the best target. Pau next if waived, then Melo.

Melo is too old so I rather get a younger shooter.

The Boston game showed you can make a big swing by making alot of three's.

12 made 3's = 36 points

Three's conserve energy so that you can play defense better. 3's make the defense spread out and over up other inside shots for Lebron, Ingram, McGee, Kuzma, or whoever is cutting or driving to the middle.

Missing out on Ellington is idiotic, should have cut Lance to make way for him. Glad we're signing Markieff Morris though, solid big man to have coming off the bench.

I would absolutely love Pau. We'll see if he becomes available but I absolutely think he can still provide a role. In the half court on O, his passing ability and ability to shoot the three now makes so much of a difference.

Morris would be okay if he's healthy. I would like Carmelo, but I don't think he's willing to accept a role. He's a rhythm player, and if he's playing 10-15 minutes a game, he's not going to be successful. That's why I think Pau would be good because he could accept a role where he might not be playing every night.

Rotation:

Ball (28-38 MPG) - If he's engaged and aggressive (defending, pushing the ball, attacking the paint) he should get huge minutes.
Ingram (30-35 MPG)
Kuzma (28-35 MPG)
LeBron (32-38 MPG) - Depending on the match-up, small ball minutes in the last 6-8 minutes of ball games with whichever wing is going.
McGee (10-20 MPG) - Depends strictly on effort. He's starting to look like he did earlier in the season, but he needs to play better defensively. If he's not, in comes Chandler or Gasol.

Rondo (22-30 MPG) - Depends a lot on Lonzo's energy and effort.
Bullock (18-24 MPG)
KCP or Hart (18-24 MPG)
Chandler or Gasol (12-18 MPG)
Muscala (8-10 MPG) - If KCP/Hart/Bullock is going well, you give Muscalas minutes to them.

This. Magic’s bad roster decisions over the summer cost this team Zubac. I would have hoped he would have learned his lesson. Morris is acceptable though I guess. The key is we need to add some freaking guys who will space the floor and play off of LeBron and our young guys.
