Voted NO. Only chance is to have a 8-game winning streak, something this team isn't capable of. SAC and LAC have two soft schedules left, only a miracle can save the Lakers season.

Doable but doesn't look great. The pace is almost identical to what it was last year at this time, when the season ended with the 3rd-9th only separated by a few games. Last year 47 wins was needed to make the playoffs. That would mean the Lakers have to go 19-6 from here on... Basically, they could afford 1 loss per week. This year is a little different with OKC comfortably in 3rd place, the Clippers probably/hopefully intending to tank out, and the Kings most likely succumbing to their inexperience. I'm guessing 45 wins and a crucial tiebreaker vs the Kings/Jazz/Clips is necessary.

Only two losses behind Clips and Kings with a game left against each, I’m guessing it’s not going to be as hard as many think.

Clips have to miss the playoffs to get their pick so they should likely be tanking (outside of Zubac damnit)
I don't have any faith in the Kings to hold it together if we get any heat on their tail.

I think we make it, but it's frustrating to be in this position.

That two losses against the Cavs and Knicks were inexcusable...

I'm going to go with my head and vote no. My heart says they will, but with Lonzo out for the foreseeable future, that will be the straw that breaks the camels back. If he can get back by the Clippers game at home, that would be phenomenal because that's right when a tough stretch starts.

Realistically, we need to go probably 16-9 to get the 8th seed. 20-5 to get the 7th seed. There's a couple things working in their favor:

1) A lot of their "tough" games are at home. Vs Milwaukee, vs Houston, vs Den, vs Bos, vs GS, vs Portland, vs Utah. We've been pretty good at home with LeBron.
2) A lot of their "other" home games are against teams they should beat: New Orleans, Clippers, Washington, Charlotte.
3) The road schedule is a lot of "easy" games (although, keep in mind this team has dropped countless "easy" games this year, be it home or road): @ New Orleans x2, @ Memphis, @ Phoenix, @ Knicks, @ Chicago, @ Detroit
4) Tough road games: @ Milwaukee, @ Utah, @ OKC, @ Toronto

vs Houston: L

@ New Orleans: W

@ Memphis: W

vs New Orleans: W

vs Milwaukee: L

@ Phoenix: W

vs LA: W

vs Denver: L

vs Boston: W

@ Chicago: W

@ Toronto: L

@ Detroit: L

@ New York: W

@ Milwaukee L

vs Brooklyn: W

vs Sacramento: W

vs Washington: W

@ Utah: L

vs Charlotte: W

@ New Orleans: W

@ Oklahoma City: L

vs Golden State: W

@ LA: W

vs Utah: [/B]W[/B]

vs Portland: W

I have them going 17-8, which I think should get them in. But my confidence level of them winning those "easy" games on the road is very slim, so I think they'll drop a few of those and win 14-15 games. Which will keep them out.

God I hope I'm wrong, because I want nothing more than to book myself a well needed vacation in late April in California to see a playoff game.

There's so many dude. They have no one to blame but themselves if it doesn't happen.

Home losses vs...

- Cavs
- Knicks
- Orlando
- Memphis
- San Antonio (LeBron's missed FT's)

Road losses to..

@ San Antonio x 2 (Including a game up 10 going into the 4th quarter)
@ Orlando
@ Washington
@ Atlanta
@ Minnesota x2
@ Sacramento (up 15 with 6 mins left)

That's 13 games. If we win half of those, we're not even having this playoffs conversation.

hawks loss and rockets win evens out.

playoff push officially starts now, with winnable games coming up vs. Pelsx2 and Griz.

plus, Kings lost today.

Have to win these next 3. It's a reasonable expectation with a high probability that they could be tied for 8th with the Clips if they go 3-0.
Walton hasn't really showed great leadership, which means Bron (and Rondo) has to do whatever it takes to keep everyone locked in against these lottery-bound teams.

they can do it but they'll need the Clippers or Kings to stumble.. obviously they can't just match them win for win they'll need some help but I also don't think the Clippers or Kings will be lighting the world on fire over the last quarter of the season
