I agree, if you mean they're going to kick our ass, eat our lunch and burn down our barn... Amongst other varied and sundry humiliations.

That's exactly what I meant. Atleast the Bucks showed some pity and sat Giannis.

Time to just sit out the "starters" the Lakers have left. This team is unwatchable. The team they put together made zero sense.

Beautiful 14 point L. 1-4 road trip. 1-9 in their last 10 games. 3-11 since the All-Star break. The tank moves on. 11 more games in this BS of a season.

This is the first time EVER I stopped watching the Lakers regular season. There just isn’t anything I see worth watching. I’ve never done this EVER. I guess there is a first for everything. Sad...

So do the Lakers win another game the rest of the season? I'd give them 1 more win the rest of the way.

For me it's not just the Lakers... It's the whole NBA... A lot of the time, I feel like I'm watching a really good college game when I watch the NBA now... There used to be a massive difference in watching College vs NBA... There were just physical monsters you just didn't see in the NCAA that much... Now the game has changed so much, that difference isn't as big...

It's just not as exciting as it used to be... I mean, Harden got another 3pt shooting record tonight... But who cares? That gets broken like once a week now... For me, watching Curry drain a million 3s or Harden too... Is just never going to be as exciting as watching Shaq beat people up down low, or MJ sky through traffic for a jam...
It's basically a league of jump shooters now... I'd still be into it if we were good, but otherwise, there's just not a lot to get excited about.

The NBA has a few different problems and you accurately name a few of them.

But another problem is coaches have finally figured out the regular season is rather meaningless for any team that thinks it has a legit chance to have a chance to win it all. It really is about selling enough high priced seats and marketing merchandise to people living outside of the United States who don't have the perspective on how much the game has declined in watchability. As a Celtics fan, I don't expect the team to win a title this year but do believe as long as they stay healthy they have a shot if they get lucky and Warriors suffer a significant injury. Their somewhat disappointing regular season to me is somewhat meaningless since the regular season has lost most of its meaning. Celtics have probably only played 9-10 games this entire year when both the Celtics and opposition tried very hard. That is rather pathetic.

Have a league of just 70 games - zero back to backs, 12 teams in post season league wide and 4 post season byes for the top 4 teams league wide and a first round series of just 5 games, you will have a more interesting league to watch with the regular season means something again.

I'd go so far as to eliminate conference affiliation in the post season and actually give the #1 seed the opportunity to choose who they want to play in their first round among all of the teams still in the post season after 8 teams have to play a first round series. At least give them a choice among the bottom 4 teams still remaining. Give the 2nd best team, the next choice of who to play.

NFL does well since regular season is important with less teams in post season and excellence in regular season rewarded with first round bye and home playoff games.

NBA needs to reward regular season excellence much more and deemphasize 3 point shooting enough that the next Kareem Abdul Jabaar is shooting skyhooks and not 3's. Too much of anything(inside or 3 point shooting) becomes boring in NBA.

Mike Muscala sucks at basketball. Horrific deal by Magic.

D Russ continues to ball out in Brooklyn. This Franchise is clown shoes.
