Using Tankathon’s lottery simulator, I have:

1. Cavaliers - Zion
2. Hawks - Barrett
3. Knicks - Morant
4. Wizards - Hunter
5. Suns - Garland
6. Bulls - Culver
7. Pelicans - Reddish
8. Hawks - Bol
9. Celtics - Clarke
10. Grizzlies (via Conley to T’Wolves) - Doumbouya

What do the Lakers do with 11th Overall here?

Goga Bitadze, C, Georgia
Bitadze is quickly emerging as one of the most polished and promising prospects in this draft. The 6’11 center was named MVP of the ABA Liga at only 19 years old after showcasing an impressive skill set and advanced feel for the game despite a lack of elite athleticism. Bitadze hit 38 percent of his three-pointers, passed the ball at a high level, competed on the glass, and always seemed to be in the right spot.

I think we'd be lucky to draft Bol at our spot. Though hes currently slotted at the ~15 spot, I expect him to shoot up in the draft in the last few weeks before the draft.

Cue the annual Instagram post of him doing individual drills (dunks) running full court and shooting from 3.. then his stock will sky rocket.

I see Bol and all i think about are the injury red flags.

we'd be lucky to deal with Bol's injury red flags. He'll shoot up the lottery into the top 9 I'm guessing.

I'd take Rui Hachimura at 11 and be happy about it if it went like that list above.

* 2.5% chance for Zion
* 11.7% chance for Top 4

With that said, if we stay at the 10th or 11th pick, AND we decide NOT to trade it away in a package deal.. Would you guys be interested in giving Bol Bol a hard look here?

The obvious concern is his frail weight and possible injuries? He only played in 9 games this year until being sidelined for a foot injury.

However, he absolutely dominated in those 9 games. 21 pts 10 rebs, 2.7 blks. 57% field and 52% from 3. Its a shame he got hurt, I believe he could have been a top 3 pick. Though this could be a benefit for the Lakers... High Risk/ High Reward....

Thoughts?

I'm all for swinging for upside and Bol Bol would be an interesting target and a solid pick at #11.

Depending on what kind of inside knowledge they have on potential free agents joining the team i think they could draft based on need and nba readiness as well and in that regard maybe would target someone like Brandon Clarke?

Aside from Bol Bol and the 6'10" big guard Naz Reid, 2 interesting big men deserve some attention as well.
1. 6'11" Neemias Queta from Portugal

2. 6'10" Luka Šamanić from Croatia

I should admit that I am obsessed with big versatile guys on the court. As I have advocated, if we are to sign one more big fish to max contract, we should build our team through drafts more. Look at the Warriors and the Spurs, they consistently draft / find young dudes with qualities to fill out their rosters.Their contracts are very friendly and you can develop (shape) them with your philosophies. You do not always need to compete with teams for signing them as well.

Bol Bol at least need 1 more year to get ready for NBA challenges. Reid, Queta and Samanic are more ready especially Reid. If the roster is full, you can leave Samanic in Europe for a year or 2. I say draft 2-3 of them and we have our future front court nearly built.

Don't use 11 on Bol or Rui. Choose someone without that level of bust potential.

Go with Brandon Clarke. He is a rich mans Jordan Bell with a decent inside jumper, an ideal small ball 5.

This lineup of Lonzo, Ingram, LeBron, Kuzma, Clarke would have immense switching ability on the perimeter.

Bruno Fernando looks like he's be a solid pro.

If we get a max free agent for $34mil we still have some cap space left... I wouldn't mind sending the 11th pick and a trade exception out for a solid player like Robert Covington or someone along that line.

I would trade the pick for Zach Collins from Portland but failing that I'm on the Brandon Clarke bandwagon as well.

I like Bol Bol as a player and as a person but this poor kid’s legs will never endure the rigors of the day to day NBA grind. I hope I’m wrong and if I am I expect him to be a star.

With the 4th pick, Lakers select: Coby White from UNC.

Kobe ... Coby? Pelinka likes him some Coby.
