I would say Kyle works harder, but from a talent standpoint, D'Lo is ahead.

While they're both front-runners who don't seem to deliver when the pressure is on, and neither plays adequate defense, Russell's still a lot more well rounded and generally better...

Russells also about to get massively over-paid IMO, but time will tell on that and even if in a year or two, his contract makes him undesirable, he'll still fundamentally be a better BBall player than Kuz.

Funny enough DLo is actually over a year younger than Kuzma

Russell has a high level skill and the rest average to below average. Kuzma does not have any high level skills and really poor defense. Advantage Russell.

They're both flawed. Russell is a better overall player due to his array of offensive skills and more consistent jump shot. But, now he's about to get paid. Kuzma still has years left at a small number. That means a ton.

I feel like Russell has formed, Kuzma could either become better than Russell or he could become Rodney Hood.

No hes not and Kuzma has the same short comings from a scoring perspective (volume scorers) with the main difference that DLO is a better playmaker and a year younger.

You have to overlay the position they play and role. Kuzma is a fantastic support player at a position where he does separate himself a little and doesn't need to pound the ball to score. Russell as a scoring 2ish guard who shoots in the low 40% range isn't overly special. He'll get paid like a lead player and will be expected to be one.

As for Kuzma not being clutch..... in the last couple years he's played huge when others are hurt and has always seemed to play better in the 4th than the other 3 quarters. In games where he had at least 20 we were 1 game below .500 last year.

I'm not sure what age has to do with it. This is so overrated IMHO. Russell has missed a ton of games because of his knee and has had to have a series of procedures on it. Kuzma has been injury free. I'll take that over 12 months any day.

Both are high volume scorers.

D-Lo is better, but he's getting a big contract this summer and i'm not sure i'd prefer that over Kuz's deal. Kuz also needs to start hitting his 3s. Hitting 30% isn't going to cut it when he's taking almost 7 3s per game.

Weird comparison considering Russell has more responsibilities on the court.

Yes but Rodney Hood was also far better than current Rodney Hood. Both him and Kuzma look equally good in second season at same age. Hood got worse, my point is I don't know who Kuzma will become.

Tough to compare a lead guard to a spot up shooter without taking into consideration salaries & roles... I can say, don’t under estimate the “locker room drama”... DLo is about DLo... That being said, I take the hard working tough kid from Flint over the stat stuffer DLo...
