If they HAD TO trade Lebron, who could they get?

Post#1 » by ShowtimeFan » Fri May 10, 2019 6:13 am

Just for fun, how about:

Lakers trade LeBron ($37.4mil) to the Clippers for Gallinari, Lou Williams, Harrell and a (2019-20) First Round Pick (approx. $37mil), money matches and both teams have Cap space in case it is slightly off..

LeBron gets to stay in So. Cal. Clippers do it as they can still go after 2 Star FA's, including Irving, who wants to leave Boston..

Then the Lakers sign Kawhi (who wants to play in LA, but NOT with LeBron) and Kemba Walker.

Then the Lakers package Gallinari, Ball, Hart, Lakers (2019) First round pick and the Clippers (2020) First round pick for Anthony Davis.

Lineup:
PG: Kemba, Caruso, Bonga
SG: Ingram, Lou Williams, Jones
SF: Kawhi, Bullock
PF: Davis, Kuz, Wagner, Johnathon Williams
C: Harrell, McGee

I'd trade Bron to the Raps if Kawhi would agree to a S&T.
LeBron for AD is good too.

I know it's a long shot but if the Bucks would trade Giannis for Bron then do it.
Jokic if the Nuggets would agree.
LeBron for the first pick I would do too.

At this point I'd even trade LeBron for Paul George even though I hate PG for signing with OKC.

I get not liking LeBron for a variety of reasons, but the whole Kobe v LeBron reason, I have no clue how that is even a thing.

The best deal would be AD.

Griffin might do it because he has had Lebron and knows once AD is gone what does NO have.

Not much.

Part of the reason Griffin might have been hired is to trade for Lebron.

Should the Lakers do it.

They would have a good shot a 2nd supestar that compliment each other.

AD in and Lebron out

Kawhi says hmm that looks better than the clippers.

What are the optics for the Lakers if they trade LeBron (without his permission)? I feel like it would irreparably damage trust from other FAs looking to sign. That could be one of the main reasons it doesn't happen.

If it did happen then you'd have to fire everyone in the FO just to clear the stink.

We're in such a bad spot now the optics don't matter...

But if they get Zion, and Zion is a next-level stud in the NBA, the optics were, we were brass-balled geniuses...

But if you HAVE to trade LeBron, you probably aren't going to get Zion... Every tweet this org lets out there damages our position in any trade... So either shut up, hire the biggest named coach out there... Or forget trading LeBron.

Honestly, at this point, we may need LeBron a whole lot more than he needs us... In one spring, we've pretty much gone from luke warm on LeBron, to needing him so bad the FO should be lining up to kiss his and Rich Paul's asses...

Fire Linda Rambis and hire LeBron's wife...

So yeah, the only way I trade LeBron right now is if I have a Jerry West level intellect telling me Zion is going to be better than Kobe and LeBron, and I can get the 1st draft pick in the trade.

Guys when it comes to stars

Our only hope lies with Kawhi and Kyrie that's it

Unless we can throw a package deal that the NO will like for AD then there is no chance for him either

so when it comes to Durant, Klay etc stop talking about them they ain't comming

Our only real hope lies with Kawhi and Kyrie

Unless some stuff goes a lot further south than this LeBron is here next year. Without LeBron we'd have to trade into true stars because we don't have any on the roster and my guess is that we value our youth a whole lot more than the league in general. If he gets traded we're in this hole for another 5-6 years.

Kawhi S&T (and a potential ban from Rich Paul clients for life).
#1 Pick
3 Way Anthony Davis Trade (maybe the knicks or wizards if they get the top pick take Lebron, we get A.D)
Beal + the Wizards Pick (Grunfeld got fired at the wrong time) for Lebron and our pick
Lillard? (would they perhaps do it for Lebron + our pick)
Ayton + Pick (Ayton + RJ would complete our rebuild ironically enough)
Paul George (i'm personally against this however, yes i'm still salty about last offseason)
Doncic + Pozingis (unlikely but you know Cuban would be downright tempted, never really been able to lure a superstar of his own to Dallas) for Lebron and our pick
Giannis (we'd have to add significantly though and even then i think its near impossible)
Jokic (same as Giannis)

Either way, the goal at the end of the offseason, hopefully would be Leonard (via signing), Davis/Zion (via trade or draft) and Kemba (via signing). In a good situation that is a near egoless trio that would work well together.

I don't think anyone is willing to trade with Lakers ATM, unless they know they're getting a good deal

If we actually get Vogel, then Lebron to Houston for Gordon and Capela.

The dude has his own agency. If we even think about trading him without his blessing we can kiss goodbye to every client they have now and in the future and others who aren't even clients but listen to him and his guys.

I am no fan of his and I hate the influence he has had. He got Luke fired and now we are thrift store shopping for a new coach. SMH. But at this point we kinda need him.

All this get Kawhi and AD and this and that is just fantasy.
