Is it possible he could become a starting center next to AD?

He didn't show much besides being quite the exuberant fellow, so shouldn't be looked at as much of any kind of factor.

Well, you may have got somethin. He is a good form shooter. He is 6'11. Good vision. Solid enough passer. Hustle guy who can clean glass. And we all know you need role guys, not just stars. 7foot AD. 7foot wagner. 6'9 bron.

Wagner, McGee, Muscala would be a good C rotation with AD.

Anyone know if Bonga is good enough to play or will he be trade bait?

The only scenario where I see Wagner as a starter next season is if we truly botched up our offseason dealings and we simply do not have the cap room to pickup a better player. Let's hope that Rob and Co. are forward thinking.

I don't see him as even a rotational player on a true contender unless we have 4 other superstars out there and need a Rambis type. He really looked overmatched athletically last year.

If Wagner is our starting C next season then it only means that we messed up big time in free agency.

I could see it. He makes sense next to AD since he is a stretch 5. AD's ability to block shots help make up for Wagner's lacking in that area, so they complement each other well.

by what would jack bauer do?
That knee injury really derailed his rookie year. He will improve a ton now that he's healthy and has an offseason train to play with NBA strength and speed. He's definitely got a valuable skillset, but his movements are a bit flawed mechanically so he must get stronger to clean that up. I think he'll be a good NBA rotation player.

And what starting 5s are we looking at?

If anything, Wagner's still too skinny to play the 5 and too slow to play the 4

its clear teams right now need players at 4 or 5 who are speedy and agile and tall rather than slow and fat. i felt brook lopez hurt the bucks alot on defense in teh conf finals bc he jus isnt quick enough to cover or help on defense.

Just being frank.....he’s third string. Imagining him in the playoffs, I just see him being outmatched and overpowered. Lakers should have a legit guy that can box out and bring the fundamentals.

Am I the only one who wasn't overly impressed with him last year? I don't recall many games were he was very impactful at all, I'm sure late in the year if so. I realize I'm a semi-casual fan here and not a real one, but eh.

Disappointed in his rookie year. I don’t think he will last in the NBA very long but I hope I’m wrong. Zubac was better.

Point is I don’t think he will be on the team anyways.
