I’ve more or less moves on from Kyrie and Kawhi. I think Kawhi stays and Kyrie goes to Brooklyn. The question is what will our cap situation ultimately look like?

You mean the Lakers GM might have a plan in place, and contingencies? That can't be possible since I was reliably informed that he was just a moron. Well, as long as it is on twitter it must be true!

I would love to get Al Horford on this team. Highest BBIQ in the game and can still play elite ball. Tim Duncan with better range. His age doesn't concern me in the slightest.

Is he ring chasing? if he is maybe we can get him on the cheap? not putting my hopes up though. I still want kawahi or butler. If not those 2 then we can spread out and just get role players

I 100% agree. Horford strikes me as a guy who will maintain elite per minute production even as he approaches 40. Whoever gets him just needs to manage his load well during the regular season.
We’re not going to offer him it, but even at 4/100 I think he’ll be a good contract. The idea of the Sixers keeping Butler and Reddick, while swapping Horford with Tobias scares me, and is a very real possibility.
Numbers rule the universe.

I share your sentiments. The whole storyline surrounding this suggests that there's a clever, ruthless snake behind it all. I suspect he's going to Dallas.

Wasn't there a report a few days ago that stated Kyrie hasn't communicated with anyone in the Celtics organization in weeks?

Why stop at 3 stars? How about we move Jack Nicholson and Denzel from the stands to the bench?

I only use the max on Kawhi and maybe Kyrie but no to anybody else. This team badly needs 3 pt shooting/floor spacing and Jimmy do not provide that. He has a career 34% from the 3pt area, shot 26% from the recent playoffs.
I'll rather split the money on Danny Green, career 40% and 39.7% regular season and playoffs respectively, and Patrick Beverley, career 39.7%. Both players are tigers on defense who both can shoot and form your backcourt.

Re: Which third star can the lakers get?
We literally don’t have another perimeter player on this team that can be a playmaker. So we go from one extreme: zero three point shooting and a bunch of guys who would rather play with the ball in their hands, to another: nobody besides LeBron who can play on the perimeter with ball in their hands. We’d be awful anytime Lebron wasn’t on the court, and that’s a troubling proposition given that he really should be on load management next year.
Unless the plan is to bring back Rondo to be the secondary ball-handler on the perimeter. Given how much Rondo sucks, that’s a terrible plan. Kemba made the third team All NBA last year and you’d just be bringing him in to be a complimentary star, not the main one. He’d be just fine in that role.
