With all the bright basketball minds on the coaching staff currently (and especially if the Lakers find a way to pry Ron Adams from the Warriors), he's the kind of talent that you'd love to have.

If he “only” pans out to be a MWP level defender, that’s high score at number 46.

But this kid has way more game than that. I think he’s gonna be my favorite Laker to watch this season along with AD, Kuzma, Caruso.

Great touch around the rim. Unguardable length. Already seems to have many go to moves to get separation. Wish they made more defensive highlight reels. He’s extend-o-man II around the rim. :o

We must be fairly high on this guy. Feels like an overpay for the 46th pick.

We paid only 1.8m for Clarkson who also happened to be the 46th pick. We're paying slightly more in cash for THT(which is fine). Giving up unprotected 2nd was really necessary?

So our unprotected 2nd should be in the 50's if we have the year we're supposed to have.... so we paid 2.25M to jump 6 or 8 slots from one year to another? In the big picture it's not a lot of money on a team with a payroll over 100M but it's a lot to pay for a one and done guy who has a ton of question marks and doesn't appear to be ready to contribute much in the next year or two.

This kid is no doubt a baller from what little I’ve seen. A shorter Charles Barkley stud type at guard who plays bully ball, has Ingram looking arms and Kawhi’s size hands! Lower body strength like an oxen at age 18? Like a Smart type but with talent. Or like a Shannon Brown but with smarts.

Sign me up for the bandwagon!

Don't disagree with you. Why not slap on some obscure protection just in case... let's say 35-45 protection. I'm just thinking of that Conley trade which has some bizarre draft protections... Pick in 2020 and 2021 is protected 1-7 and 15-30. Guess i'm simply way too frugal

IT is hard to not like THT's measurables, But it is really hard to like his offensive game when he is playing, But his advanced defensive statistics are off the CHARTS.. LOVE

His body is really big, when you watch him play, it looked like he was a 4th year player body development wise, His body should start to mature as he ages more

I just want to see his potential on defense in the NBA, he has the body to guard 1-4 potentially
USA Celtics in full effect. Amazing chemistry building experience right there for the main core of the team

Proceeds to finish 7th and shames the entire nation!

I really like how this guy finishes at the rim. It's very rare to see a rookie with this much body control at that age. He'll fit in the NBA just fine.

Imagine walking on to this team as a rookie. Lucky guy.

I think there will be enough of garbage time for him to get some burn. I’m looking forward to it. Looks to me that he has an NBA body already.

We also knew about his injury, still we paid quite a bit. Watching the reels, seems to me we should be high on this guy!

I don't think he'll get much of an opportunity. The west is wide open this year, and the Lakers will stock up with veterans to fill out the roster. Nobody will get a long leash to develop.

That wingspan and thickness is going to come in handy for carrying all the bags.

THT has shown some excellent game in G-league and has come in to fill some quality minutes in the playoffs.

He's an ideal SF for this team to eventually replace Green giving that he is great defensively and has the size and length to defend 1 to 4 He needs to develop his shooting and get more experience but how quickly can he do that? 1 more season? 2 more seasons?

I expect him to be in the wing rotation next season and get around 8-10 mins a game.

I hope we get more success stories with home grown players like we did with Caruso.

Especially if we can manage LeBron’s minutes during the regular season, I hope we can play THT more and resign even Kosta and give home some regular play time as well.

I saw some decent stuff from him in the that playoff game he got. He can definitely be on the rotation next year.
Anyone follow Kostas development? Curious how he is doing.

He definitely has potential but he is a couple years away. Would love to see him become a better passer. Seems like whenever he got the ball the play ended.
