Yep, looking for a rotation like this personally

1st 12:00 - KCP, Green, LeBron, AD, Howard
1st 07:00 - KCP, Bradley, Kuzma, LeBron, McGee
1st 01:00 - Caruso, Bradley, Daniels, AD, Howard
2nd 08:00 - Caruso, Green, Kuzma, AD, McGee
2nd 04:00 - Caruso, Green, Kuzma, LeBron, McGee
3rd 12:00 - KCP, Green, LeBron, AD, Howard
3rd 07:00 - Caruso, Bradley, Kuzma, AD, McGee
3rd 01:00 - KCP, Bradley, Daniels, LeBron, Howard
4th 08:00 - Caruso, Green, LeBron, Kuzma, AD

33 mins LeBron/Davis
26-28 mins Kuzma/Caruso/Green
20-22 mins KCP/Bradley/Howard/McGee
10 mins Daniels or Cook or Rondo or Dudley

I wouldn't put KCP OR KFC in the starting line up at the start of the season. He doesn't show up until like half way through the year LOL - He should not start

I think he will start but you could be right, they can easily replace him. The PG role on this team is a fight.

I think coming in, starting PG was KCP's role to lose... My gut tells me he may have lost it. He has to not only overcome LeBron and Davis' love for Rondo and apparently Cook too, but also Avery Bradly and the chip he seems to have on his shoulder...

If it takes him another 3 months to get into full, game shape like it has the last 2 seasons, he's not going to sniff much PT without injuries.

Unless it's at backup 2.

The injury of Kuzma have opened up some minutes for KCP imo. When Lebron sits, nobody else is tall and mobile enough to cover those 6-6 and taller SFs maybe aside from AD.

Really hope they choose Caruso over Rondo.
Having Rondo playing alongside bron, AD and Howard just doesn’t work imo. You’d have 4 guys who do not excel/enjoy playing off the ball.

Having Rondo start over Caruso, will only help come playoff time as they'll get experience playing with bron/ad etc, but let's hope Caruso gets a lot of minutes, whether he starts or benched
Bring back 80's 90's basketball please :)

I knew this would happen, smh, they should not have signed Rondo back.
Season already a disaster if he start tbh

Even great coaches get the wrong impressions and eventually correct them. Poppovich tried to play Kuzma at the 5 spot for usa basketball for a little and then realized that just doesn't work even after the Lakers tried that last October and November with terrible results.

I don't foresee Rondo getting significant minutes this year. The other options are too good with Caruso and Bradley. Cook's shooting alone makes him a much better option too. Hopefully Cook is slightly better than he's shown after his time behind Curry. I'm not expecting a Bazemore level spike, but I think he's a serious shooter when given oppurtunity.

I liked the Bradley-Green-LeBron-Davis-Mcgee lineup. This starting five could be special defensively.

From Last night, Bradley started in lieu of Rondo probably bec of his recent tenacity on defense. Unfortunately his over eagerness to steal the ball resulted to 2 quick fouls. Vogel jumps instantly from his seat to tap Rondo to rush in to pull out Avery as if he finally has a legit reason to play Rajon with Lebron. Avery needs to realize now that it's better to simply keep in step with his man rather than gamble and reach out resulting to early fouls.
I just hope Frank is not cowering to Lebron and AD's preference to play Rondo next to them bec he is so smart and savvy out there, making it much easier and faster to execute the offense with him instead of patiently nurturing Caruso to learn the system.
GSW immediately ran away from Rondo to dare him to take those 3's, and he obliges by taking 5 early making 2. 40% is not bad but somehow you can take in context as his defender didn't just ran away without a purpose but also to clog the lane and help out with a possible missed attempt and prevent AD and McGee from further dominating the paint for like 6-8 early dunks.
BTW, KCP had the 2nd lowest =/- with a zero next to Stockton (7 mins), 5 attempts netting 2 points in 23 minutes, 2nd highest mins.

I get what you mean about Bradley's defensive style, I've always been in the school of staying in front of your man so the defense (especially the bigs) don't have to show help and collapse too early. I loved the defense of the '08 Celtics, they got no steals and just formed wall after wall. But at the same time the '09 and '10 Lakers gambled a hell of a lot and were still good enough to win championships.

In today's 3-point dominant NBA though, I actually think Bradley's defense works against the most elite shooters like Curry/harden/dame as long as we have the luxury of the elite rim protection that we have. The Warriors started off 0-10 from the field and Bradley was breathing down the neck of Curry not allowing him to settle in.

Ultimately, at the end of games though when it turns into an iso or pick and roll slugfest, I prefer a defender like Caruso (89th percentile on perimeter defense) cause he battles to stay in front of his man.

LeBron James
Anthony Davis
Kyle Kuzma
Rajon Rondo

The team needs to make a trade for Evan Fournier so the starting 5 can have the acronym LAKER.

Raptor fan here but I'll be following the Lakers closely all season cause I honestly have fun watching them, and it's so interesting to see what style will they play.

I also don't for the life of me think Anthony Davis is a power forward at all, and yeah he prefers that spot, but that isnt optimal for him. To me , Anthony Davis is a straight up 5, especially in this league. The matchups he's going to have at the 5 spot oh boy, hes going to eat everyone like roasted chicken.

Lebron at this stage is definitely a power forward, but his unique passing ability and speed makes him a great small forward and moreover and a point guard. I'd rather LBJ who's a transcendent player positionally, play at the 3 spot but as a point forward.

Leaves the 4 spot, which definitely should go to Kuzma. Kuz is younger and doesnt have quite the handle to be a 3. Hes perfect at the 4 spot I'd keep him there.

This leaves Danny G at the shooting guard spot, and the most difficult role to fill, the other guard spot.

It depends to me if Lebron would like a secondary ball handler, defense, and / or a another 3 point option .

Ball hander: avery Bradley or Rondo

Rondo is apparently impressed with Cook’s defense. I did not know he played a lick of defense. Coming from Rondo, I’ll take his word for it. He’s a bs free zone.
