Lol, the Raptors didn’t get played. They traded for a superstar at minimal relative cost knowing full well they might not be able to re-sign him, and they got a championship out of it. They’d do that deal again in a heartbeat.

Welcome, Raptors fans and lakers fans have a common hatred of the celtics in common so it should be a good partnership.

Also someone call the based god to give Kawhi and P.G a curse.

This bandwagon Raptors fan with Kawhi in his name does not speak for us Raptors fans.

We were honoured to have Kawhi lead us to a championship and we are wishing him nothing but the best.

That being said, I’m a LeBron fan and would love to see him win another chip so still cheering for Lakers to pull something off over next few seasons.

People are sleeping on the fact Lakers still landed AD, just because it didn’t happen in July. Offseason still a huge success.

Not sure I can share that optimism. Yes, got AD on a short deal, with no guarantee he will re-sign, especially if the wins aren't piling on right away. Lebron is back, but who knows if or when he will begin to decline or if he will be more injury prone as he ages? Most of the youngins are gone, with few assets left, which makes the future murky at best.

In addition, the clippers as they are now, will be a serious consideration for any future free agents who want to be in LA strictly for the climate/culture/opportunities. They have a far better FO and the perception of a healthier infrastructure than the Lakers.

Not to mention there is a healthy team and market on the other coast that has the culture and opportunities if not the climate.

More than enough reasons to see the glass as half-empty

They didn’t go through this whole season charade, trade me, that’s all folks, etc to split up him and LBJ. They want the bank of la la land and that’s beyond the just the max salary.

I'm a raps fan but easily gonna cheer for the Lakers in the west. Kawhi did both our teams dirty, and I know deep down Toronto and LA have mutual respect for eachother as cities.

A couple weeks ago Kawhi signed an endorsement deal up there..... wonder how that company feels about that deal now? My guess is that a guy in LA doesn't sell a lot of stuff in Canada.... especially when he under these circumstances.

I know I'm probably in a minority here, but I don't get these kinds of petty threads. Players come and go all the time, just chill out and enjoy basketball.
