Guys I’m just coming back to posting regularly. I’ve been a member since 05, one thing I noticed recently is how hated the Lakers are. Granted they’ve always been hated on. What I notice differently is that haters now use anything as ammo against the lakers. Such as Lakers get AD, people are really trying to put a bad spin on anything to do with Lakers. Kinda reminds of left and right politics. People don’t even make sense anymore with their hate.

This honestly confuses you? We’re an extremely successful team with a massive fan base, many of whom are excessively smug and arrogant about said success. (Depending on my mood, I’m one of them.) It goes with the territory.

It confuses me how absurd they react when anything remotely good happens to the Lakers. It confuses me because I can almost sense they are just spewing nonsense just to get replies back. People used to form real arguments.

Irrational hate received implies we have some sort of power over them. I embrace it.

When Lakers got LeBron, the hate was only going to go to irrational levels.

With how Kawhi did us, the Raptors and San Antonio... And maybe OKC if you think about it...
I'm not sure LeBron is even the most hated player in LA... Kawhi/Unkie Dennis may be the new LeBron/Klutch...

I think a lot of people are going to be hating the Clips this season and taking the heat off us...

That said, we been hated... It's just a Laker thing.

I don't think Clips will take the heat of of us at all. What you describe about Kawhi being hated, that's just Raptors and Spurs. LeBron and the Lakers are universally hated by everyone, and have been hated for much longer. There will be bandwagon fans rooting against us. The hate will be greater than ever.

Love being an arrogant Laker fan. Love the hate. Love the fact that bitter ol' Popp, and Cuban and Gilbert conspire to make our lives harder. I embrace every fiber of Laker hate.

Tells me we're on top. Ain't nobody hating on Portland, or Phoenix. Even when things are down....folks still root against us. It's awesome. We're in their psyche.

This will Sky rocket Brons and ADs legacy to higher heights, if they lead our team to our 17th. And i cant wait to watch the crying game happen on Gboard

Oh Lakers hate is strong this time around. AD is a top 5 player, top 7 at worst. After trade went down now he's all of a sudden "empty stats player with too many injuries" that's all you need.

Most of the laker haters right now are Bron haters though...the type of people who still feel insecure about kobe vs bron debate, or the type of demographics who love watching nascar/indy wrestling hating on certain athletes making business moves because in their opinion players should shut up and play ball

Extreme hatred is not uncommon to those teams or individuals that are successful.

It's always been there but I do agree it's been amplified these last 2 years. Even tho we haven't won anything.

Everything we do (despite everyone being against us) is the wrong decision. While what others do is seen in a positive light. Clippers pay what they paid for PG and the reaction is they are a "well run organization" while when we got AD it was we are on the brink of destruction and no team in history had overpaid like that, lmao Lakers. They act like Lebron James died last season and that AD is kinda ok. Before the trade if you asked someone who is better PG or AD I wonder what they would have said...…………… I know most of them will now say PG is and "it ain't even close" because Davis wears that purple and gold.

People see the best possible outcomes for other teams but only doom and gloom for us. Players on our team are trash but when they wear a different uniform they have All Star potential all of a sudden. Is cool. I can't wait for the season to start up so we can start stepping on some throats. I've had enough of all this

There are literally dozens of people stating that Paul george >>>>> Lebron or AD in the other forums.
These same guys would choose either lebron or AD in a heartbeat over him if given a choice.
