Lakers vs Clippers

Post#1 » by NBAWestFan » Mon Jul 8, 2019 5:30 pm

It looks like it is Lakers and the Clippers are the obvious favorites

Kinda like when Lakers played stacked up Portland and Sacramento teams.

I don't really see other teams when all are healthy beating these two.

Maybe Denver or Philly

Lakers vs Clippers can become a great rivalry as Sacramento or like Boston.

It is going to be something to watch.

NBA should ad more games just for these two teams to play each other.

Also , there won't be a lot of tiring travel. I hope the Lakers fans fill in to overwhelm the clipper home games and make it a 100% home court advantage.

I don’t see what Beverley does better then Avery Bradley

Tell me why Bradley won’t be our starting point guard for the season
Anyone ?

I'm not as worried about the Clippers as I maybe should be. They don't have anyone to initiate the offense. Kawhi and George can't run an offense. They also don't have anyone who can stop Anthony Davis. He went for 46/16, 23/13, and 34/13 in his 3 games against them last year, winning 2 of the 3. There's also no guarantee Kawhi will stay healthy. Can the Clippers afford to load manage him 20-25 games in the West?

You know what board you’re on, right? Yes, always has been Lakers > Clippers and it will continue to remain consistently so at the end of this season.

All 7 WCF games at Staples will be lit but ultimately yet another loss for the flippers and Ballmer and uncle Dennis.

There are 7 legit contenders out west, which is really exciting for any basketball fan.
The two LA teams have 2 top-8 players each and a good supporting cast.
Denver and Houston were right on the cusp, and have continuity going for them.
Utah got a lot stronger.
Portland is a dark horse which just made the conference finals.
GS will be much weaker this year, but have a strong system and a knack for making pieces fit. If Klay comes back early, they will be dangerous.

That is without mentioning the Spurs (ignore at your own peril), and up and comers in SAC and MIN.

No rebounds, no championship. Who's the starting center for the Clippers?

The guy who played better than Our Magoo

The guy who couldn’t play more minutes because Magoo was crying to the coaching staff about why he was signed if he wasn’t going to get minutes

Bradley's not the best ball handler, but yes, LeBron initiates the offense anyway.

It becomes all about being a great rotating defender who can guard multiple positions due to size and athleticism, someone who anticipates well. This person will have to play defense for both himself and for LeBron.

I’d put my money on Caruso over Bradley, but if he finished well last season maybe he could resurrect his career in Laker uniform.

Davis and Bron complement each other quite a bit IMHO. PG and Kawhi seem to overlap quite a bit. After that if we get a game smart Cousins and Kuzma can be that guy off the bench we seem to have 4 guys who can go for 30 on a given night. We seem deeper and more diverse a well.

The Clippers played great team ball last year and surprised a lot of people but what made them sneaky good last year wasn't centered on 2 guys like it will be this year. You can't just say adding those 2 is ALL addition.

lakers vs clippers in playoff would be nice but lets not try to make it into a rivalry btw the two. LA is always lakers town clippers have a lame ass history, their logo sucks and trust me this logo view is strictly unbiased i mean look at the design and color who likes taht anyways, ppl can make excuse about yeah no playoff blah blah blah no team in nba can ever be contender every single season and if clip even had 1 title i wouldve considered maybe that they have a point but that aint the case now is it.

I would say depth wise it's almost similar, but their bench and players are more complementary. Lou Williams, Montrez Harell, Shamet are all great players and you know what you're going to get. I like the Laker additions, but that's on paper. I don't know which version of Boogie we are going to see, is Kuzma going to take that next step or not, are we going to see the Grizzlies Bradley or the Clippers?..

There are many question marks for the Lakers, but atleast they learned from their mistakes and added 3point shooters, which is deadly to have with LeBron.
